I grow more and more convinced we need an "old fogeys" thread on this board.

    BJ and the Bear
A guy driving around with a chimp in a Optimus Prime look a like while avoiding Sheriff Lobo, who got his own spin off series.

I guess it's too late for them to fix the neck/collar? That's too bad.

I could deal with Hoodlum's car mode sucking if it meant the robot mode was 100% accurate. But unfortunately both modes have compromises.

I feel like the collar detail is an important detail for this character's design. I understand that some people won't be bothered by it, but it really bugs me since I tend to notice small details.

It's a shame because I really liked this figure. The proportions are much nicer and closer to the movie than TT's offering :( Hot Rod is one of my favourites as well.

I guess I will go with TT for Hot Rod. I hate how awkward he looks compared to Rouge, but ehhh.

I can totally see why the collar is turning people off, even though it's not a deal-breaker for me. It's a weird choice for them to make, and I wonder why. All I can think of is that somehow the transformation requires it to be this way.

SIR, you are off topic with this post. Kindly reflect on old times like the rest of us old heads, or get out of this thread.

    Good day.

A helicopter merged with a truck? That's a Battletrap figure for sure!

I was worried I was in the wrong thread for a minute.Though I will agree Airwolf holds up well (at least the first two seasons) By season 3 the main star was so drunk they had a harder time dealing with him than a group of disabled people in an episode. Season 4 was a complete reboot and joke.

Street hawk holds up okay. It's worth a watch just to see the guest actors in some episodes. The Pilot has Christopher Loyd as the main bad guy. In a later episode a very young George Clooney guest stars.(I think he has a mullet) But Street Hawk only made it one season. Though it's plots with a few mods would do a lot better today than it would have back then with the super hero mentality. I'm honestly surprised no one has rebooted it yet.

Rockford had a number of seasons and then came back for movies years later so it's a solid concept.

Hot take, but Jake and the Fat Man was waaaay better than Matlock, surpassed only by Columbo ... My Nana would force me to watch Murder She Wrote and Golden Girls which I actually grew to love as the yrs went by ... the 80s killed on the small screen!
