Totally agreed. Strato's big weakness was his age. He bummed around for several years before getting released and just ended up feeling outdated. If he'd been released soon after the design was shown, he's have been well within expectations. But he was old tech by the time we saw him.
UT Sworder...uurrggghhhh - CHeap on a BBTS sale, just in case no-one else bothers to do the character, so I at least have something...

I'm in for the Autobots too. Maybe some magic like FT motormaster.

For me, it's less "head on a stick" in the promo photos. I don't know if they addressed the neck , or perhaps the images are more flattering.

The codpiece is less accentuated too. I can't tell if they reduced the size or if the paint is helping.

Whatever they did, this is looking like the definitive Blurr to me.

Looking awesome. The nappie has been shrunk, and now there is room for an autobot symbol. Sweet!

I don't know, this mold feels unfinished. All those wide flat undetailed surfaces just feel wrong.

From someone who doesn't own it, I feel UT's version looks more interesting.

UT's seems a bit large to me, unfortunately. I also hated his vehicle mode, with the stair-stepping of the vehicle nose (ironically usually a FT problem) ruining its sleek shape.

The wide, flat areas was generally a large part of the S3 aesthetic, though. Very retro-futuristic. So it's not inaccurate, if not necessarily appealing, depending on your tastes.

Not going to argue, yeah, UT's is way too tall for Blurr.

Also true that's a big part of the S3 aesthetic, but this is one of those instances where I prefer a good look over G1 accuracy. Headmaster-crap aside I like TR/Legends Blurr a lot more than FT's mold, because it's basically the G1 Blurr design with sufficiently more detail.

Jabber and Hoodlum can't get on my shelf fast enough which is ironic considering who they're supposed to be.

(Unless I missed something) I hope we get some painted pics of the Targetmaster soon? I plan on preordering this but will feel better about it seeing the little guy in color, since it wasn't included in the painted pics from this weekend.

Note that the preorder release dates are 3rd quarter 2019 so that's a bit away. I doubt this mold is the final/finished version though definitely could be wrong. Also since they are going for more toon look lately, panels won't have as many molded detail as that trend has ended a while ago. I have the UT one and definitely too tall, not a bad toy but fits in less with the current aesthetic for sure.

Sorry to bump the thread, but I had to pre-order this guy from baba on the last 10% off sale. With his 5$ discount it worked out to be $85.00 which for an FT product, I feel is a great deal......

He was not even really on my radar because I was always happy with UT Blurr. But hey, for $85.00 he will be a welcomed FT addition.........

Seemingly the figure is more coordinated than UT's, waiting for the release then, seemingly it's delayed again to around March, 2019.
