sfa6650 is selling Ft-29 Quietus for $11.98 on ebay lol. He's apparently already swindled 7 people. I messaged the seller just to see what he responds.

 

Had another issue with a seller and Speedpak where the item wasn't accepted due to weapons/batteries.

Maybe going forward we can list reliable sellers who don't use it?

 

Might be stopped as prohibited then - the only SpeedPAK which stopped being updated for me was. Open a chat with them as suggested earlier in this thread and find out. It's rude they don't note when they stop and seize a shipment.

Oh and for the purposes of the thread sczg_969_8 did refund me quickly - so is still a legit seller. SpeedPAK just sucks with certain items but is oddly reliable with others.

 

So there are a bunch of trusted sellers selling loose Japan version MP10s which they say are genuine Takara. Is this legit and how do they get them lose?

have a package with them that was rejected by Speedpak, got two messages this morning. Wondering if it's happening to others as well and people have filed complaints. To their credit they are quickly trying to rectify it but, as seen in the last few pages of this thread, that doesn't mean jack right now.

 

I ordered MP-17+ on Oct.25 during the latest flash sale from Freemantoys and the item is already in the US with a scheduled delivery of Nov.3, Saturday. Will update later when I get the figure. Hopefully everything is legitimate since I don't believe there is a KO of MP-17+ yet

 

What kind of tracking number did you get? My purchase from that seller said it would ship Speedpak but the tracking number he gave me doesn't look like a Speedpak one. Wondering if he decided to ship by other means. What he gave me looks like a standard China Post tracking number.

 

Exactly. Anything with toy gun accessories appears to be a potential issue. However, rub on faction logos got to me in 10 days.

 

Speedpak is a huge long number starting with "ES". That's what I got.

 

That's what I thought. I've only had Speedpak inflicted on me once so I wasn't sure if it could look different. Yeah, this seller has given me a China Post number. I find it somewhat comforting, since it implies he stopped using Speedpak due to problems, and if he cares that much then MAYBE I'm getting Savant and not a box of rocks. If he was out to cheat me, why would he care which service he uses for shipping? I still wouldn't rate my chances all that highly, but it's something!

Yep, SpeedPAK starts with ES and and has a combination of 26 numbers and letters following (all of mine have been more numbers ending in 0A but that could be a reference to Australia)

China Post (for me anyway, again the LZ could be a destination reference) starts with LZ, ends with CN and has 9 numbers in between.

I don't think either service is faster or slower than the other - an oversized seeker is waiting at my post office after 6 days with China Post from TF Direct and yet an MP10 upgrade kit took 24 days with China Post from kingslayer777 - both were shipped within a day of ordering and both (apparently) traveled by plane. toyspark (who sells genuine Takara) uses registered airmail with Hong Kong post and that is guaranteed to go fast - everything else seems to be a crapshoot, with, thus far, only SpeedPAK playing customs officer with toy guns.

Can we get a list of all the toys stopped by SpeedPAK? Mine was an MP10 KO.

This way readers of this thread can then see which items not to order from sellers that use SpeedPAK, without penalizing those genuine sellers that are probably finding the service as frustrating as us buyers - like jinfen-3 and sczg_969_8

 

So what’s the protocol if you get burned by a seller? You file for a refund/claim with PayPal right, not eBay?

And once you are found in the right, how long does it it take for PayPal to refund you money back?

It's faster to go through PayPal for a refund. Call the number in the first post of this thread, explain your situation to them and follow their instructions if they give you any.

I've gotten refunds anywhere within a couple of hours to around 10 days. Either way, it's faster than dealing with eBay.

 

In case anyone is actually interested, I got a response from sfa6650. He basically answered that he is "dealing with his batch of stock, only for processing, not for making money, so it is very favorable".

Yeah right.

Make of that what you will, I am still reporting this bozo to ebay. Even thought I know ebay won't do anything.
