lol >sigh< I just mean, for all you fans of the 2003 cartoon who hate how the characters were changed for Go, guess what? You're beloved 2003 characters were also a huge change from the real originals. Why are the 2003 changes okay but not the ones that came after? Yeah, I get that it's because you grew up with the 2003 cartoon and don't care about anything that came before it. But you're going to have to learn to accept that there's a whole new generation of kids that love Go and don't know/care about anything that came before that. And they are no more wrong for that than you were for loving the 2003 cartoon without caring how they changed Robin, Starfire, Cyborg, Changeling (Beast Boy), Raven and the M.I.A. Kid Flash from the source material.
oh, i'm well aware of that. i always was. my side, is that i just didn't enjoy the GO series. i'm okay with drastic changes as long as i like it. heck, I love the coming changes in pokemon Let's Go that so many people hate "because it took away battling wild pokemon" or what not, because I find it good. sure, i never heard of this one- or read the original comics of Teen Titans, but I knew very little, nay, KNOW very little of much of anything. it all comes down to enjoyment for me. .... although i am curious at that old show. wonder where i can watch it.
There were only a few episodes made. It was part of an anthology series that also included some JLA cartoons. You can find all of them in their entirety on youtube. They're not great, though. The Superman/Superboy, Batman, and Aquaman cartoons made by the same people at the same time are much better.
Here is one of them. Watch out for the flashing lights in the intro! 60s filmation loved it's flashing lights! Here is a more comic looking psa from the 80s. (no sound)
No one did. What I was talking about was the original characters, and how they were altered in personality and backstory for the 2003 cartoon. People were complaining how they didn't like how the characters were changed between the 2003 cartoon and Go, while simultaneously ignoring that the 2003 cartoon had made just as many changes that were just as drastic in their own way.
About what I was expecting. World's collide because of the villain's evil plan, team's fight, the two teams team up. 2003 Titans are exasperated by their counterpart's antics (in particular GO Robin's) or otherwise confused by the strangeness of this alternate world. Ultimately they have to work together to defeat the villains. On the one hand I don't like GO. I've accepted it's existence and that it just isn't for me, but it's hard to be interested in this, even with the 2003 Titans. But on the other hand, I want to see more of the 03 series, if nothing else I want them to get to finish whatever was going on in the final episode. Clever move executives, making a choice between supporting something I don't care for and also supporting something I actually like. Spoiler: I don't actually think that was their intent. I'm pretty sure executives just noticed the demand for the 2003 Titans to return and decided to capitalize on it. Just regular business, not an evil plan to make a few people support something they hate to support something they love.
I like it, my kids like it, I've watched just about all of it I feel like. Should be interesting to see.
