I'm sure you all knew who was due those Greatswords!
    DSC_0048 (1).JPG
Who knew Elita-Infin1te actually referred to how much gear she has?! :lol

Soooooooo anyone up for a tidy pair of (generously) 5mm-handled katanas (T30 Windblade is the main example I can find of a definitely compatible figure besides open-handed Gen. Arcee, specifically the Combiner Hunter edition in black in the post I saw) £10 posted in the UK?
    DSC_0050 (1).JPG

Also in an attempt to be more mercenary about keeping my TF herd manageably culled, and with WFC: Siege Cog on the way, this Battle Tactics Bulkhead AKA "Pulley" (because he's not Cog) is surplus to requirements.
Anyone fancy him for £16 posted within the realms of her Maj?

Watching Netflix Castlevania and while it's not very very amazing, it captures very well the feeling of playing Castlevania III:

So I toyed around with XTransbots Flipout---few transformations, little bit of posing.

Can't help but compare him to Crackup.

I know it's controversial, but it's a mixed bag for me. Which is weird considering Crackup is easily one of my fave figures from this year, and Flipout is revered as better overall.

I'll start with the positives---he's gorgeous. Paint literally on every single surface of him. Looks like a model car in vehicle mode and absolutely sublime in robot mode. He's very poseable, more so than Crackup. Double jointed knees, elbows, shoulders with multiple points of articulation, wrist swivels, poseable fingers, head on a swivel and pin system, rocking ankles---pretty much all his leg joints bar the ankles are ratchets too. Car mode is very detailed and does not skimp on paint for his lights. Absolutely gorgeous red paint. Hefty, easily as heavy as Crackup. Can't fully tell but chest is a die-cast slob, feet are metal too. Box is also great---heavy cardboard, lovely drawing, styrofoam insert and Flipout is even put in a plastic bag to avoid any paint scuffs. Chest had a plastic sticker on to avoid scratches. Top notch stuff. I really like the sculpt of his gun too, big, very 80ies style riffle.

    The mixed/meh?
His transformation. A lot of it involves tabs stuffed in awkward places that you need to pull a tad blindly before the first transformation. I'd definitely recommend a TF video so that you know which direction you need to pull from. The doors in particular are the bigger offenders. There's very little clearance for some bits [like the aforementioned doors]. You're a thousand times better off getting the entire car flat going bar to car mode before starting to tab things as the legs are not really made to flip back to car mode if everything is tabbed. The designer manages to pull some impressive RID Vehicon action with the whole front of the car folding in on itself and then on the back. I like how the doors flip in to lock the shoulders, but it honestly feels like they need to flex a bit more to get those tabs in place than necessary.

When going back to car mode, I have a nightmare getting the red bits right next to the rear wheels to clip in to the doors. I can't get both sides to be flush no matter how much I try to massage everything together, and I've got some paint chips on those red bits already. He holds together and rolls ok, but I'm a bit miffed that it's not as perfect a fit/lock as Crackup.

I think overall had I started with him and not Crackup I might not be as sold on this set. A step up in so many ways but a step back in others when compared to his brother. One thing's for certain though; next to each other this team is going to rock.

Some wee smashers in those 3P TFCON reveals, but the display showing how much die-cast has gone into Planet X Deathsaurus prompted one of the dumbest and most confusing comments I've seen posted here as the poster said the die-cast had put him right off buying it because he only collects CHUG...O_O

What the hell difference does the presence of die-cast make to scale????

I kinda like some of the things shown at TFCon. MMC Guzzle, Nickel, the Master armors and the containers.
I can't say that about the MP things. Are we at a fatigue for MP-scaled figures? It just seems that they are doing combiners over and over again.

Shockwave is wave 1 so he should be early 2019 i think. Not sure on reflector, he may be wave 2.

Been musing. Instead of painting tr getaway, think I'll just get the toyhax minerva conversion set and call it a day. Maybe paint her legs red as it'll annoy me otherwise.

Also thinking of going for the 07 leader megs instead of the voyager since we'll not get a ss version and if we get an mp, it'll be way overpriced and too big. It looks better and the voyager is actually a bit small. Just need to see how that leader scales with ss cons and the bb prime. Also think it's time my tf1 cast switch to robot mode, so guess I'll b doing that while having a lazy Saturday night watching del boy.

    I return.

Went to MCM today and walked a lot. Like holy fuck are cons exhausting. I wanted to play Kingdom Hearts 3 but the queue was a mile long so fuck that noise. Mostly I just spent too much money and got lost constantly.

I'm sure you all know Hasbro had TFs on display but anyone have any idea what those tiny robots that transform into food were about? There didn't seem to be any label on their case and I moronically failed to take any photos, but they were pretty cute. Reminded me of a cross between those Shopkins things and the old happy meal transformers that turned into happy meal boxes. I assume they'll be blind bagged judging from how tiny they were. The seige stuff did look cool, that Optimus and Megatron looked like pretty solid designs. Kinda generic, but that's the point I think, to be like the definitive classic style prime and megs in that scale and I'd say they pull it off well enough. They were pretty poorly transformed of course, but as the old saying goes "lol Hasbro". They also had this badass marvel legends professor X that includes the goofy giant gold hover chair he had in the 90s cartoon, it was enormous and looked fucking awesome. So awesome that it overshadowed it's wave mate of Deadpool riding a scooter, which also looked cool, but can't really compete with professor X's hover chair.

I also bought the gold VW bee, which was a slightly strange experience. They only take card, whereas literally every other stall refuses to do so and insists on cash, and they insisted on giving me a wrist band with a date and time stamp as well as the name of the specific toy I bought printed on it. Dunno what that was about. Bee is adorable btw, and the two tape Dino's were a nice touch, even if their bizarre combined form looks hilariously awful in a so bad you can't help but love it kind of way. On the other hand it was fiddy quid for a small deluxe and two tapes, which is clearly extortionate but I still paid it so I'm not going to complain.

I also got the Nendoroid D.Va, a ZZ Gundam bluray and a hat with Yoshi on it, plus I ate a mediocre hot dog and walked until I wanted to die, much fun was had.

    True story.

I wouldn't be surprised if Battlemaster, Micromaster And Leader Wave 1 Pre-Orders from Kapow dropped next month for December, seeing as ID already have the first two aforementioned listed. Refraktor is indeed a later wave so definitely 2019.
I do wonder if Siege will hit regular retail for Xmas season as they seem to be aiming for, or if BB Movie stuff will crowd out UK shelves instead.

@DECADER They're BotBots, Hasbro's new Garbage Pail Kids-meet-Robo-Capers line. And they're charmingly ridiculous.

We're watching DOTM. I forgot Ken Jeong was in this, in full Chang mode no less.

EDIT: Ok, the Sentinel Prime heel turn is still a great moment.

EDIT 2: Damn, that Soundwave reveal moment too...

EDIT 3: Has there ever been a Sentinel Prime that isn't a dick?

EDIT 4: Where did Optimus get his jetpack from? Has he been keeping Jetfire's corpse in storage?

Haha botbots, that's great. Yeah they looked pretty fun, if they're cheap enough I can see myself picking up a couple every so often on impulse and having a little collection growing in the corner of my desk.

There myself (well, in the Hilton Hampton ATM) but I did go back and take a new photo of Botbots next to my £3 Corona Sparkplug for scale purposes and indeed took one of Deadpool, Dogpool and Squirelpool on the moped 3C26B6E6-CFA5-4F8E-A135-049E687F4502.jpeg 28B7C50E-B55F-4C22-B1B7-F41091A009D5.jpeg
