Eh, the main appeal of the SS line to me is simplicity and fun, so I have to disagree with you. It's not that I don't care about the engineering or fidelity to the designs, that's what my 1/32 movie collection is all about. Believe me, I absolutely understand all of your criticisms, but when it comes to Studio Series, I'm really just looking for fun toys at the end of the day. I guess we're just looking for different things in this line.

So Megatron is going to be revealed officially at MCM London, and is apparently no. 34 in the list. But we have no clue about the no. 31 figure, or do we? Will it be revealed along with Megs ?

I have no idea, I had to leave quickly after the panel and may not go back this week end. Doesn't mean there wont be on display at the Hasbro store, I just don't know if they did or not display them

Panel was between 5 and 6pm, new toys were not on display before, I recall someone from the store saying they will expose new stuff

I also edited first post properly, forgot to mentionned a few things on Siege/cyberverse, but nothing new

    Bumblebee
    Showing Bumblebee latest Trailer
    Showing #Jointhebuzz campaign
Showing regular toyline of Bumblebee movie - including powercharge
Showing join the buzz commercial with John the actor

    SIEGE
    - Showing posters seen already
    - showing a short video made of drawings, I don't recall seeing it on the web, did the video recording, will post later
    - "Choose your side" - going to the booth, you can get one of the 2 posters, either Optimus or Megatron from SIEGE
    - no new toys were revealed or shown

    Studio Series (SS)
    SS Leader class JETFIRE
    SS New Voyager Optimus Prime
Showing live in the room Jetwing optimus combined with Jetfire
    SS Voyager Bonecrusher revealed

    Cyberverse
    Showing the trailer only

    Paris comic con exclusive
    - Retro Garage Bumblebee on sale
One was put in a prize/giveaway contest at the end of the panel among Star wars and Marvel Exclusive

    #JOINTHEBUZZ (again)
    - Showing 8 minutes of the movie - footages exclusives, no cameras or photos were allowed
    here :)

New toys might be on display, but I may not go back this week end

I like to use HftD BB Optimus as my stand in for the SS line for 2 reasons: I like his height, I love the integrated accessories.

I really don't like that mold for 3 main reasons: very bad proportions, transformation is too messy to enjoy thus ruining the experience for my tastes, kibble gets too fiddly/in the way when posing him.

Sure the transformation may be more "accurate", but to which version of his many different transformations in the Bay movies is it accurate? Throughout the first three movies it's apparent there's no concrete standard for his transformation; just basic guidelines.

My 10 year old son can transform over a dozen different Primes in our combined collection, and he does not like transforming (and even playing with) HftD BB Ops. He says it's the worst to experience, yet he can transform the RotF/HftD leader class one smoothly and with enjoyment - as it should be since these are toys.

For a REAL knee slapper, watch this transformation!!! It cheats all over the place!

So, after 10 years of inconsistent Bay movies where even the transformations cheat and change repeatedly, where then have I decided to rest my hat on the matter?

    1. Does it look good/great in both modes?
    2. Does the design evoke the "stage presence" of the character?
    3. Is the transformation challenging (offers a bit of mystery), intuitive, innovative, inspired and most importantly FUN!?!
    4. Does it offer satisfying levels of balance, pose-ability and articulation?
    5. Does it scale well with other characters in its line?
    6. Good QC for the price?

Hopefully it does. I think the new SS design for Prime meets most of these criteria fairly well! I just wish he was as big as HftD BB Ops!

I'm THRILLED to finally get a voyager class Ops that can combine with a leader class Jetfire!

I really think Studio Series has been a homerun so far. I love everything they've shown us, and hell, it blows my mind there's a new Leader Jetfire that's 1000% more accurate and becomes corpse armor for a Voyager Optimus.

Also, as someone who skipped the DOTM Megatruck, a new Leader with a REAL CLOTH CAPE! (list that as a gimmick you cowards) has my interest.

But where's my new Wreckage dammit

So glad I waited on getting SS Optimus. This looks millions better! I'm just hoping now we'll get a proper BB movie Cybertron Optimus as a new figure or at least as a retool of Siege Optimus. Pretty sure Hasbro jumps the gun easily with new Optimus' as this reveal proves.

Finally, after all these rumors and "what-ifs", we finally see voy. Boncrusher in the plastic! And man is he beautiful!

The retooled Optimus looks ok I guess, bit I do like how the previous one didn't have pegs poking out of the hood. Jetfire is ok I guess, but an easy pass for me, I was never a fan of him anyways.

    But that bonecrusher...

Really happy that SS is exciting me again. The DOTM Ratchet wave and the Dropkick wave kinda left me cold due to the amount of redecoes, but now I'm all jazzed up. Seriously cannot wait for Jetfire and Bonecrusher.

I still like my TF2 Optimus, but I'll definitely upgrade to the new model. Then in a year they'll release TF3 Optimus with his abs and everyone will regret buying the first two versions of that mold.

Yeah that figure is a different story. I’ll wait until we see official pictures, but as of now that one seems to be an outlier. Not impresssed but I hope the initial picture was just bad

The repaints are probably going to be a regular cycle we see in this line. Fans might skip them since they got the first version months ago, but they get parents to buy them for their kids for the holidays.
