Unlike other media (comics, manga, movies, food, etc). There will be a point where the our toys are considered "outdated" (not just transformers), the regular plastic toys will come to an end as we know it.

New kids want more a smartphone or a Netflix account than a toy these days.

There's definitely no scape for this, just as the CD and Blu Ray replaced the vhs and tapes, and soon will be replaced with the digital market.

The question it's not "it will?", but, "when?".

So, when do you think we are seeing the productions of our toys ending?.

When a series of natural disaster forces most life on earth to go extinct. :D

Seriously though, why worry about it? It'll happen when it happens.

One of the voice actors from the movies said it best I think.

" think of transformers brand like a cow they will keep milking it and milking it till theres nothing left "

" which is good because people still dig it "

So to answer the question of when it will end probably not for a while.

Movie wise id say 10 years left if they are good

Toy wise mabey 7 or 8 years depending on how this new generation enjoys it

As long as there is a market for collectables, I think we're safe for quite some time. Toys made for kids may stop one day, but as long as us man-children & other hobbyists are around, I think TFs are going to last many years to come.

As far as I'm concerned, my son is into hot Wheels and transformers and power rangers among other toys. Sure he plays games and what not but it's not much different than how I grew up. I don't think it will end as long as us as parents continue to show our kids these wonderful toys.

I think that your question actually holds the answer, or at least, shows a flaw in the question that you asked.

Your thinking that transformers will be replaced by a technology, that nobody will want the toy as it will be outdated. The thing is, you can see on the media that you have examples, the adaptations to the future:
RID with scannable figures to a game
Earth war and forged to fight games
Hell a new ccg that will assuredly get an app for it in the near future.
I look at sky landers style games and wonder when/what similar things will come out for this franchise.
There will always be a niche for figures if they are represented well digitally, so I am gonna say, that whilst there is a thriving digital medium for the hobby, never. It’s when the entertainment for mainstream outlets collapses that will spell the end of the franchise, not clunky toys.

I don't think it will ever end (at least, not in the next 25 years) but it will radically change. Appropriate, no?

I honestly believe that at some point 3D printing will be so prevalent that you'll buy the design from Hasbro and print it out on your local printer and bypass the retail chain altogether.

Hopefully never, but that depends on customer/audience interest first and foremost. I suspect that technology will have a strong impact on this, as it will soon become feasible to 3D print out your own figures in the future. We might even get "virtual figures" with the advent of holography. None of this will, IMHO, be an adequate substitute for actual physical toys.

Totally forgetting that without the 07 movie Transformers would have likely faided into a niche market.

When they stop making money or society takes a turn. Like if we’re surviving an apocalypse or some total war then the concept of toys may change entirely when things are rebuilt. Plus a lot of societal interests turn out to be some representation of a feeling we live with. Maybe robots that change into things won’t make sense one day.

As long as people find transforming robots satisfying and people still keep loving plastic representations of their favorite characters probably never lol

    Bullshit.

Just because the movies made Transformers reach levels not seen since the original 1980s period does not mean Transformers was doing poorly before then. The Unicron Trilogy was doing very well by toyline standards back in the mid-2000s, a fact I think many people forget if it means trumpeting that damn movie line in the aftermath of TLK and Bumblebee potentially rebooting it hard.
