Assuming he's a leg, would a Leader-sized Scavenger be big enough to form the torso of a theoretical new Devastator figure?

I don’t think they’d make him a Combiner. The Constructicons weren’t Combiners in ROTF.

My favourite movie Constructicon. Yes please. The ROTF mold was great but the wheels and articulation left a lot to be desired.

 

The part that makes me skeptical about the Long Haul is it's doing the "scrubbed with MS Paint" thing but doesn't actually obscure anything.

 

They are probably going to rmold him into onsaulght 

 

About retooling long haul into onslaught. Possible, but probably not the case. Long haul is a dump truck, onslaught is a tow truck. Totally different vehicles. It would have to be a very heavy retool, and Hasbro doesn't do that much.

 

They were able to give us a Jet for TR Broadside out of TR Alpha Trion who had a Lion mode at the time so I'm sure they can think of a similar solution. At the very least make Onslaught a new mold who happens to share the same transformation scheme and elements from Long Haul.

 

If the rumors are indeed true for Devastator, then we know there will be Leader class Demolisher and Voyager Scrapper and Mixmaster. They may also make a Voyager Overload. These guys are going to be huge.

 

The only thing it take a look at the wheels on his back and legs the ones on the back look like the have that band around them to make it look like 2 thick tires. But the ones on his legs are different ms purple paint aside.

Edit - I've considered all the past movie longhaul toys and art and nothing not a single match I guess it is different

 

Granted this is how SS Megs and Brawl were revealed, im leaning towards this being towards the truth side of the spectrum personally.

 

Wow, they're actually doing Devastator. I mean, they have to be, assuming this leak is true - there's no way they'd take the time to redo all of the constructions while not giving us the one thing that was missing back in 2009. Otherwise what's the point? Surely they know most people aren't going to be displaying figures like Hightower and Demolishor in robot mode - their designs are hot pieces of garbage, and have always been.

 

If they end up making all the construction cons in the Studio Series line and they end up all forming Devastator, I am so in for these then. We all wanted something like this.

 

Hightower was weird, but I loved Demolishor's design because of how truly unique it was.

Yup. And this had better not be one of those situations like the old Beast Hunter Terrorcons where it was treated as a secret feature.

The second they announce the first SS Constructicon they'd better just show us the instructions and say "Yes we're doing this." Likewise, just come out and say they aren't.

But, let's also be honest. If Studio Series Devastator is going to be a thing he'll likely absolutely get some kind of boxed set release down the line once all the components are ready.
