This line really is the breath of fresh air that this franchise has been needing. Super exciting!

 

no kidding...it just seems like......fun.....and you're right in some sense that is missing.

how people can hate on this is beyond me...if you don't want to buy them that's fine but how can you hate this? this is a win on both a current trend that's going to hang around more than fidget spinners and pure fun in it's sillyness. it's like the transformers version of minions.

it feels like a 'bridging the gap' kind of line. something kids can get into to bring them into transformers later and something like a girlfriend or wife that collects cutesy stuff can get into. either way it's more attention to TRANSFORMERS which should be the point.

Here's what so great about Botbots...

My wife has never been into toy collecting. She tolerates, and even encourages, my TF collecting, but it's not something she has any interest in. Last night I told her about Botbots and showed her that picture of all of the toys. Literally before I could point out anything in the picture, she says "I already want the pencil". She's a teacher, so the pencil and the pencil sharpener are right up her alley, and she said they're "kind of cute".

Wow, a TF line that might interest my wife. I think I might have seen a pig fly past the window...

 

I hope Hasbro comes up with some clever names. I like Top-Off for the fast food cup bot.

 

How do you feel about Twerple Burple?

Edit: I had to think about it, but I don't think Top-Off sounds appropriate for a children's toy, regardless of the phrase relation to the drink practice.

Sorry if someone asked this already but are they made of that rubbery tiny turbo changer plastic?

 

nobody (that I know of) has actually seen these in-hand, but given the transformations, I'm going to assume these are hard plastic rather than soft/rubbery. Assume stepping on them in socks will hurt.

edit: sorry, I was thinking rubbery like the shopkins, not the tiny turbo changers.. but not sure. I think I see some that require pins so the plastic has to be hard enough for that.. but idk :/

 

I love that the Botbots aren't even out and we got six pages of love about them. It just shows how excited we are for these guys! Can't wait!

 

Well for a long time there has been an outcry for something beyond G1 84-86. We have gotten some of that and it's been well received by the fans. Botbots gives us something completely new and it's all fun. So there is something to that.

 

I got to see these at MCM London today and now, I have a need to go full Pokemon on them and get them all... 61 in initial launch, with apparently up to 190 total if it continues
