I like selling on ebay also for some outdated toys. I have a few outdated bots which basically I have to give them away for free or very little money on tfw2005 or various FB pages, but somehow on ebay I can get a decent amount back.

If someone sends you harassing messages you can contact CS and they can block the account from seeing your listings or contacting you.

Depends where you are located it's way cheaper in some places.

I'm not sure what is going on with Paypal lately they just started a spin off business that is supposed to be cheaper for international transactions.
But their fees are getting bad so they might find more competition propping up.

I can't speak as much to all other locations - but I have several eBay accounts and if you don't use them they start throwing special offers at you as an encouragement. Like £1 max final value and free listings are common. They even gave me £1.00 Max + Free Listing + 0.35p back for each item that sells.

Paypal fees were 2.5% I think they are LOT more now - but I've not checked. - there is means to get them lowered though.

The flea market aspect of the site isn't a bad thing though as a buyer. as a seller I'd say write you listings in advance or save a few drafts and then make them go live when there is a special offer on. You really don't want to be paying final Value fees + Paypal Fees + Listing fees if you can avoid the listing fees at least.

Just don't leave things on infinate relist you start to get charged after a while.

eBay and PP fees are about 15% of your sales, kinda like Amazon. They both are fucking blood suckers on sellers.

Don’t forget about the freaking shipping fee they charge you too.
You get screwed on that one sideways.

Ebay quit taking my fees out automatically. I owe them $100 for two months of sales.

Roughly 20%. Remember, they charge their 14% on the shipping which costs what it costs (no margin). Working backwards, on a $20 or so item you're effectively paying 20% commission.

And yeah, it's very much a flea market with so many faceless Chinese selling the same grey market goods.

As a buyer Ebay has become the go to place, to buy the majority of things. I have bought Tfs, legos, razor scooters, other non-toy related items (like; a Phillips air fryer, a Dyson Vaccum, etc), and I do wonder how American sellers included make a profit from the sales. The non-toy related items are brand new, factory sealed and are below retail price, no tax, no shipping.

I've sold quite a few things on ebay and sometimes an item I sell, pays off for the fees, which means I basically made no profit on that item. Their fees are too high.

The only thing I saw for 2018 was 9/27 which obviously already passed, am I missing something? Been waiting on a flash sale to buy some steel wheels for use with snow tires.

Ok, that makes sense. Figures, when I don't have to or want to buy anything those deals seem like they pop up every day. I just pulled the trigger on UT Challenger and have been eyeing some winter wheels but haven't sniffed an eBay deal in awhile.

Ok I have this problem as well with two orders. I reached out the sellers last night to see if they have more info. Both of them told me the same thing, the items were rejected/returned for whatever reason, I am assuming customs. They are being returned now and the sellers will re-ship them to me. I told them specifically not to use speedpak again since seems to be a widespread problem.

I'm not as bad off as some of you, but its been more than a week since this last update, on a thing I bought in the last flash sale (Sept 27th)

Usually the next update after that would have shown up by now. Should I complain too, or wait a little longer?

the Ebay flash sell before this last one.... I bought 700$ worth of transformers from Netclow and got them in two shipments from Netclow within 2 weeks....... I live within minutes of St. Louis Missouri which might have something to do with it.... but if you check out the thread about China sellers.... there are a few on there that are very trust worthy, get shipments out fast.. etc.
