These look way better than TLK boxes...which were terrible...and bland.
I do wish they would bring back that 80''s grid look though.

I like boxes much better than blister packs. They look so much better.

Totally agree. I generally prefer my Transformers boxed, rather than carded, but wish the toy was in vehicle mode. Just like the original G1 Autobot Cars (or the G1 Hot Rod re-issue).

Personally I'm also along the lines of wanting some of the characters switched out. Like someone to replace Bumblebee, more Tracks, and more Cliffjumper.

    Ebay:
That angled part of the box is gonna annoy retailers.
Even moreso; it looks like it\'s just dead space anyway.

I still hate the scuffs on these Siege figures. It looks bad, like pre-ripped jeans.
Seriously, who wants to buy pre-damaged goods?
Hey Hasbro, leave the battle damage for the customisers, okay!

What do you think of moving production factories to VIETNAM before this China Trade War? Because you vaguely talk about these things, but you really have no numbers. I would think moving production to Vietnam would be an upfront investment that would pay off over the years in lower production costs (i.e. making stuff in China has gotten EXPENSIVE!).

No numbers, so as much as everyone can appreciate your theories, we'd need to compare actual cost reports to really say where money is saved or where expenses have risen. I don't entirely disagree with you; I'm suggesting that Hasbro has already combated the increasing expenses (successfully) but has NOT passed the savings along. It's far easier for McDonald's (for example), to build a french fry container that holds less fries but still looks full AND not tell you you're getting less! ;)

Further, you provide no manufacturing experience or proof when you say that boxed toys are NOT more expensive or don't contribute significant expense to the product. Worse, you suggest the boxes prevent theft (again, without a reputable study or source). Using the same non-information available to you, I can counter-argue that TF toys are not victims of rampant theft! Or that a simple strip of TAPE can prevent a lot of this theft, just as those plastic ties prevent you from prying figures out easily. The addition of extra cardboard does not provide superior anti-theft tech! :p

Last earnings quarter, Hasbro's CEO assured investors that they would weather the TRU bankruptcy storm and had plans to move forward. What happened in today's report of the 3rd earnings quarter? Hasbro missed investor expectations and dropped 12% in revenue from last year. What was Hasbro's explanation for the big slip? The TRU bankruptcy! :D Hasbro takes 3d-quarter earnings hit, blames Toys ‘R’ Us - The Boston Globe

Still think Hasbro is honest about costs and toy prices? Are ya sure? :)
Listen: a lack of transparency is an absolute reason to be critical and mistrustful! You can love their products, but for all you know, you are not paying for the costs of making TFs; you could be paying for the price of every failed doll line or game in Hasbro's portfolio. The toys could have a LOT of hidden padding by now, and Hasbro MAY be charging more than they should. Certainly, even Hasbro is aware that raising prices discourages a lot of sales: hence why they've developed their "evergreen" lines (at lower price points). Generations for rich collectors; 1-step's and evergreens for the rest. Nice.

Yeah. POTP was the last of those for now.

But it may get added into something else later. Depending on how Cyberverse evolves, or what other lines form later.

Makes sense, they started an official card game. So it’s only reasonable that they move those to its own product line.

They could add game cards into the figure boxes for the first run but make them common cards just to get it saturated first.

What is the price point supposed to be for this line?  I remember reading that Hasbro was changing their manufactoring sites to India to offset the higher labor costs of the Asian countries.  I was looking through my collection and I noticed that the Transformers Animated line deluxes were huge.  They would be considered Voyagers now.  Pretty soon we\'ll have higher priced toys in lower quantities.  Look what happened to the TLK line.  Mostly repaints, at higher prices, and toys you rarely found besides Grimlock or Berserker.

Imo, that would be a BAD idea, could undermine both the toys and card game, also could be very restrictive, If the art styles Dont line up that could pose issues, a blind card or blind pack would be more acceptable but all in all, 2 different markets that we should not mix, that Card game ain't looking so hot and could bomb, tie the toys to that and they'll suffer also but toys are here to stay for sure.

always wondered why they havent done this. It might actually get me to care about the cards.

I also wondered why they dont just put bios on the cards backs , Id be more interested in collecting those cards if they had that.

If they use the toy line as a spring board in the first wave for the TCG then do something different the next wave I think that would be enough saturation to get interest in the card game cause most TF collectors go for toys anyway. I mean TF collectors have been buying up potp and TR with cards already in the package so why not add TCG cards
