The show is really building to a nice climax from the sounds of this, really makes season 2 sound intriguing and almost seems like it'll line up the IDW Bumblebee Graphic Novels too. Outside of vehicle modes and designs at least. That sleeping Giant episode title really has me curious too. Could that be the introduction of a certain autobot? Or could that simply be from the famous phrases about giants. ("I fear we have awaken a sleeping giant." and "Leave sleeping giants where they may lay.") Althought since the title is plural, probably means giants as in iconic legendary characters of wider lore.

Still find it interesting there's a lot of focus on Shockwave with very little mention of Megatron leading the decepticons in the present day.

Liking the Shockwave focus. Hoping for a Marvel G1 spin on the guy.

Still not 100% digging the 15 min episode duration, and the animation. However the story structure is there.

I believe it's been renewed for chapter 2 (season 2) but it'll probably air some time in 2019.

IMHO, "NO." But the short explanation is that it has the silliness and "kid-friendliness" of RID15, while not even creating as unique of a visual style as that show, and also feebly attempts to link to G1, though mostly the new/old comic version of G1. It also fuses random elements of things like the Bayverse (Bee being a mute) with the recent weak Machinima show (Windblade being a co-main character) and thus feels really disjointed. The dialogue and voice acting/delivery also feel really cringe-worthy to me, especially lines delivered by Starscream and the other seekers. Honestly, it feels less polished than RID15 as a cartoon show in general, and really feels more like a slightly more "serious" version of Rescue Bots--which is done by the same studio, so it's not much of a surprise.

Is this what cartoons have become now? 15 minutes episodes? Why does nearly all cartoons on TV feel like they're abandoning 30 minute episodes? What are they trying to say about children?

I like it. I was surprised that I enjoy the shorter format too. The plot is brisk and to the point.

This show is a huge home run (IMO) because it’s super accessible to young kids because it’s not continuity heavy and has light plots. But it’s also interesting enough for adults because there’s a lot of mysteries that are slowly getting uncovered.

It’s still juvenile and aimed at pre-teens but it’s pretty damn fun for what it is. And yes, I’m also a sucker for the faux G1 aspect of the show.

Bee, Windblade and the recurring Decepticons are likable too.

You also get a little bit of “moral complexity” with the whole Megs/Optimus conflict. It has tinges of darkness (see the explanation for Bee losing his voice).

You’re not losing a ton of time watching a 12 minute episode either.

Looney Tunes was 7 minute shorts, so was Tom and Jerry.
Ren and Stimpy, Powerpuff girls, Johnny Bravo, Spongebob, Write home to mother, Dexters Lab, and Sakred Diamondz were all 11 minute cartoons, and they were from 20 years ago, so kids back then are whatever negative attributes you're implying about kids these days.

Not gonna lie we went from a masterpiece like Prime, to this. The episodes are too short and we are alrady at the series finale?

    Yup.
And season 2 is likely to have some really fun stuff too! Looks like they've already been setting up groundwork for it in this season in the background.
