Bumblebee revisits memories of his arch-nemesis Shadowstriker and learns there's more to being a hero than just knowing how to fight.

    Airdate; TBD

Can we like make a single thread for this instead of making multiple threads? Its like super annoying, not to mention theyre like weeks in advance and in all caps lock.

I'm just replicating what we did for RID. The caps lock titles match up with what we did then. We also made threads weeks in advance upon discovering an episode, the only difference being the mods cared to lock the thread ahead of time, til the Episode is about to air.

While a thread to discuss the whole series would be nice, as was the case made with RID, it'd be annoying and disorganized to have some people talking about some old episodes and up to date viewers talking about newer ones, when we could just as easily have an individual thread for each episode.

Because Bumblebee and Shadow Striker are main rivals, does this means that they are both the same age, since that they are both teenagers?

Well Shadow striker sounds actually pretty young. Bumblebee when he actually does talk sounds older.

Has anyone seen the episode yet? I know I'm waiting until it arrives on Daily Motion, which could be anywhere between tonight and some point next week.

This episode was amazing! We get a history lesson about why Shadowstriker hates Bumblebee and we get lots of action. A great combo if you ask me.

The episode starts off with Windblade and Bumblebee engaged in a sparring match. She wins the match and Bumblebee gives up on fighting. Windblade then tries to remind Bumblebee that he is an amazing fighter, and so they head to the cortical psychic patch for answers.

The first memory was back during the war when Shadowstriker managed to capture Optimus Prime and she had him chained up to a table. After she leaves, Bumblebee takes out the two Seeker guards and rescues Optimus. Bumblebee tries to leave with him before Shadowstriker returns and has a battle with Bumblebee. Optimus regains consciousness and knocks her out. They attempt to flee again as Shadowstriker wakes up begins firing upon the pair again. Bumblebee turns around and fires at the Energon cubes behind Shadowstriker causing an explosion which she is caught in.

We move onto another memory of a ship that is failling towards Iacon City and Bumblebee is on top of the ship battling a Seeker. After he defeats the Seeker, Bumblebee infiltrates the ship and attempts to stop it. Shadowstriker makes her presence known and attacks Bumblebee. They have a battle and the ship crashes. After they both come to, they begin to fight again before being caught under debris. Shadowstriker reveals that after the explosion, she was blown to pieces, and Shockwave used the opportunity to try and repair her (Shockwave style) by using the limbs of her Seeker subordinates. She was never the same again, so she blames Bumblebee and wants revenge. Bumblebee frees himself and also decides to free her. After Bumblebee leaves, Shadowstriker pursues him and tries to kill him again before Grimlock, Ratchet and Chromia arrive. Grimlock was about to shoot her before Bumblebee ushered him not to. She then transforms and escapes.

Back in present day, Windblade and Bumblebee discuss Optimus always saying that you should know when to fight and when not to. Afterwards they decide its time for a rematch. They disconnect and both lunge at each other.

So that's why Shadow Striker was so different in design later on

Hope this show will start threating Decepticons better. And give more character personality. It feels like some weird checklist now with random references and not a clear audience as the mood jumps all over the place. 10 minutes doesn't really help either. And too much Windblade and Bumblebee. Kinda annoying how when a Decepticon does something it's portrayed as bad but when a Autobot does a similar or worse thing it's portrayed as good and cool :/

Enjoying the show so far, and so far the Decepticons have been the ones that tend to come after the autobots more than not. What I'm loving is that we have the fembots showing up side by side with the others and giving them the same presences as the malebots. It's nice to see! And I'm loving that we have a bunch of seekers and cars being female in this as well. Also I find it a nice change that Shadow Striker is the one that Shockwave messed with.

I got Kelly Hu vibes from Shadowstriker's voice actress.

I felt bad for Shadowstriker but that's what it supposed to happened. It's a war. Everyone is disposable. This episode could've had a major character exploration but the writing is off. But it's a 10 minute show, what did I expect?

Idk what everyone else is talking about, one episode where she's doing villain stuff and that's pretty much all you get to know about her.
Animated did this type of character introduction so much better with "Along Came A Spider", and basically any other character-based episode they did.

Animated's Along Came A Spider is literally the ONLY character based episode any of the Decepticons got. To the very end of the show you never found out anything more about them and their relationships other than "Starscream is traitorous, the other 3 guys aren't, Megatron's entire backstory will need to be told to you in an Allspark Almanac you'll have to buy somewhere else because the show thought we needed a episode about Sari pirating television instead. "

This episode is 90% more than we get with the huge bulk of Decepticons in Transformers cartoons, that's why people liked it.

OK first the bad... We got a flash back inside of a flash back which normally I wouldn't mind but we're suppose to be watching Bumblebee's memories and then all the sudden it goes to Shadowstriker's flash back of events that Bumblebee wouldn't have seen and only knows about because she told him. I took a point off for that just cause it really doesn't make sense.

Other than the odd Shadowstiker flash back within a Bumblebee flash back the rest of the episode was good. I actually did a double take to look at how Shadowstriker's design changed between the two events.

Her face was always kinda asymmetrical with that monocle eye but originally the rest of body was actually perfectly symmetrical before the explosion. Afterwards she ended up with an arm and a leg that were from those generic seekers.

This is really making me wonder if all Asymetical Transformers are wearing limbs from other Transformers or if some of them were just originally built that way to begin with... and also if her eyes are like that because she lost one in a previous battle.

Anyway... I like Shadowstriker, I like how not only her appearance but also her personality seems to have changed. She was much more insane in the second flash back not even caring if she ignited the Energon again where as the first time she was much smarter and more cautious.

I'd really like toys of this character, pre-explosion and post-explosion variants if the Cyberverse toy line didn't suck so bad. It's a shame the toys are so simplified and hampered by gimmicks because I really like Shadowstriker and would love to see decent representations of the character in plastic.

It's a really nice episode with a really nice lesson.

I love how compassionate Bumblebee was and not a gun blazing shoot all, kill all "hero".

The voice actor delivering the line 'Let her go', made me emotional.
