Bumblebee learns how he first met Windblade and relives a Golden Age encounter with a young Starscream and his Seekers.

This was...weird, at least at first. It’s nice to see some Cybertronian culture, but the way Windblade was obsessing over the Cube at first was freaky.

 

Can you give us a rundown and list any new characters that appeared?

 

Dirge and Ramjet appeared, though they just grunted. Aside from that there were some new generics, and a bouncer character who I guess kind of looked like Dead End? Regardless he didn’t speak.

 

I thought this episode was good, even if it felt like a high school drama for some reason. Windblade was like the new girl in school, Starscream acting like Draco Malfoy and causing problems for no reason other than dickishness.

 

That would make Bumblebee, Potter or Ron? xD

This was a cute episode. I need a cube disguise for one of my Bumblebee figures now. xD

 

Okay so even with his voice Bumblebee was insufferable in this one imo

 

What is it with these people and grunting?

ETA: Just watched it. I was preparing myself for a cringefest, but it was so goofy, it made me smile. It was nice seeing Cybertron at peace. The Iacon team reminds me of Reflector and seeing how Bee and Windblade met was fun.

 

That was a weird episode, it feels like something out of a high school show, but it does make me like this series take on Windblade and Bumblebee more at least, even if it does come off as blatant ship fodder. And I do enjoy moments that actually show Cybertron at peace, it's something I wish there was more of

 

This was kind of a boring episode. Not sure if it's because of all the generics in this episode who all oddly look like they could be Ironhide or if it's because it's a sports oriented episode and I don't even care about real sports let alone some fictional game. Also what the heck was that red cube even suppose to do. It looked like it was acting the same as the normal cubes to me so what was the big deal. I was expecting it to explode or something but nope it's just red and otherwise exactly the same as every other cube.

This is kind of a let down after last week's episode. That was so good and then we have whatever the heck happened here. Oh well I guess, they can't all be good.

Side note Windblade seems inconsistent in this episode. At the beginning she was obsessing over the cube like it was actually important but then it turned out it's just from some game she doesn't even know how to play so why the heck was she so obsessed with it in the beginning?

 

Maybe she becomes a big fan afterwards? I mean, she did state she just came from another planet a few days ago.

Even in the present she said she didn't know how to play so becoming a fan after doesn't really work.

Also when was said that Cadmus was a different planet? I got the impression that Cadmus is just another city on Cybertron like Iacon or Kaon.

 

I want to say—-is that the first time Dirge has been addressed by name since like 1985?

 

Windblade was excited by the Cube because Cube is where she and Bee first met and its something he really loved so it would probably be something that could help jog his memory.

Really not that complicated....like at all.......

 

Dude, its a show made for kids, nowadays its almost customary the adult fans overcomplicate something simple about it. Its like, a law of fiction at this point

 

The normal cubes, from we could see, just kind of slowly float around and perhaps passively try to avoid being caught. The red cube was actively running into bots at high speed. Obviously not fast enough to cause some serious harm, but probably enough to make some dents. My question is why were there so many? From the first game we saw, there was only one cube. But at the end it seemed like they were just cranking them out. Maybe there's a second phase to the game that we didn't get to see where each team tries to collect as many as possible? As opposed to the oddball-style game they were playing with the one earlier.

This could just be me shipping Windblade and Bumblebee, but I think the cube physically didn't mean anything to her. It was more about the memory of their first "date"/meeting which it represented and her wanting Bumblebee to remember that.

 

I actually liked this one, seems like Starscream wanted to impress her for some reason (maybe he has a thing for windblade)? But the whole thing represented her first meeting with Bee and their friendship that evolved from that meeting. Part of me actually likes this ship in this show, if they go that route. It was actually a pretty simple game, and the rules sort of are described in the show.
