I\'m not too crazy about the art. And the awkward packaging is gonna make storing these guys a pain. It looks like they were going for collector-esque packaging. But I think the smaller the better, although it would make for boring packaging. (Look at those hasbro Titan Figures). It kinda sucks that packaging is the most expensive part of the toy process. (At least that\'s what I heard). On the other hand Battle damage might send these guys straight to the discount bin. Any one here remember the Battle Scarred Gundam line?!

 

Not a fan of how Megatron's gotta partsform to make a complete alt mode. But other than that, this is all looking pretty nice so far.

For the love of God SOMEONE put Megatron's Canon where it is supposed to go!

That bothered me a teeny tiny bit, without the second cannon the main fusion cannon should be in the right position just flush with the turret. It might be kinda optional depending on the nozzle.

I can\'t say I would buy either of these . No doubt they will be expensive and while i like the packaging i am not all that keen on the bots .
Optimus Prime\'s arms look wrong and that panel on his back is rather off putting . His truck mode looks wierd with those things above his windows . The original War For Cybertron toy from a few years ago has a much better cybertronian vehicle mode . That is just an earth truck with a dodgy roof .

 

I can live without wrist swivels as long as the hands are in a natural position that works with most poses.

Actually, it looks like the box is less wide across the front than current generations packaging, so essentially they've cut off a corner.

Weapons integration is hardly parts forming, no more than Ultra Magnus using his trailer as a power-up suit is, especially when the line has examples of actual (deliberate) parts-forming in Cog or Brunt.

Well I see it as partsforming. If you lose that weapon, then an integral part of his alt-mode is just gone and therefore his tank mode's crippled because of it.
At least with Magnus he can still make a complete truck, trailer or no trailer.
