I've literally had 0 problems with my copy in terms of q.c.

 

While not worth full price, I've had him a while now. I managed to get him for around the 50 mark. Always wanted that design, love the look. And I like how he has a younger looking face. This is pre Earth megatron. The Megatron who started the war. He has some nice posing, a couple of nice accessories. His chest needed a locking mechanism as it slides forward every time I pick him up, and his front tank treads could do with a bit of a firmer lock in his back. Also I nearly snapped some small tabs off when transforming him due to the horrible way the front treads click in. But he's also been the front and centre of my classic cons shelf for a few years. Do I reccomend him? Only if you can get him for below 50 quid, and only if you want the Stormbringer design. There are better voyager megatrons out there, but there is only one stormbringer megatron.


And now I want to go transform him into tank mode.

 

Tossing up between him and the KBB black version of titans leader Megatron, but I love the stormbringer look, so can’t decide

 

anybody have the rid fire truck prime? ive got one on the way and am looking for a good megs for him and this one seems interesting to me. i know in non super mode fire convoy is 8 inches. anybody got these 2 guys and can offer some comparison shots?

Incidentally, can anyone suggest how to stop his foot being so floppy?
Already put nail polish on the pegs to the back treads to stop them falling out.

Shouldn’t the prime be shorter if you’re not using the armored mode? Granville is roughly old ultra size whereas rid01 prime should be more comparable to mega

 

Gravile seems abit taller than 7 inches while rid01 prime is 8 inches. I wouldnt mind megs being a bit taller than prime but not the other way around.

 

Gotcha, it’s admittedly been awhile since I had rid prime in hand.

 

I have two of them and neither of them have decent feet.
The gun is super loose too - but he's an ok display piece if you get one cheaply

 

Perhaps the Leader class Megatron from the Power of the Primes line would be the right size?

 

assuming you mean combiner wars, and that megatron towers over rid01 unarmored prime

 

A little bit of thread necromancy...

I just took my Tronus/Granville out of the box. All the hinges have become incredibly stiff over the past couple of years, and I really dreaded transforming him. The metal piece which holds the head broke off the last time, and now the disintegration continued when the clip that holds the black piece broke off. Everything flops around in robot mode, and the front treads which sit on his back in robot mode just fall out completely. Hands were an even bigger bitch to swivel out than before. Feet have become incredibly floppy.

Overall, the bastard still has presence in robot mode, but man... it's not to be touched.

I can't locate the 2 smaller guns, do they have some interior storage which I may have used? I rarely lose parts, and they are not in my parts boxes...

 

They don't have storage that I can recall.

The hands are still finicky on mine. The back treads still fall out. But yeah he still looks great.

He's perfect opposite my Perfect Effect Prime.

 

Did anyone ever make a 3d printed replacement lower torso? Both my copies crumbled with the diecast and what i glued together was lost in the post when i sent it to be measured and 3d printed
