Or stop making the top look like a helmet. It should be tight against his head, not looking like something he put on over a skullcap.

I'm currently sitting at a Pep Boys, getting the oil changed in my work van. Law and Order is on TV, I looked up and I see a familiar looking detective. The guy that plays Joe West apparently played a cop on the show at some point.

I'm waiting for the guy they're hunting to suddenly become a meta, so that Barry has to be called :lol

    05x01 – Nora

    - So Cecile still has her telepathic powers!

    - Caitlin just did a quick analysis of Nora’s DNA to determine that it has “similar traits” to Barry and Iris instead of taking a deeper look? Not exactly ironclad proof to me that Nora is Barry’s and Iris’s daughter!

    - Nice of Team Flash to reach out to The Legends as well as make use to tech from The Time Bureau!

    - Now that Ralph is a full-fledged Team Flash member, the others really needs to school Ralph about time travel (The Legends, Flashpoint) and the multiverse (Earth-X, Supergirl)!

    - I can’t believe that I’m wearing the same tachyon enhancer my dad used to meet Supergirl for the first time. LOL!

    - So Nora traveled back to the present to prevent the future Crisis that caused The Flash to vanish? Most curious!

    - Did anybody recognize that the guy to played Gridlock is the one who played Colossus in the 3 of the Fox X-Men movies?

    - This is Ryan Choi (the guy who created the new suit Nora gave to him): Atom (Ryan Choi) - Wikipedia

    - Did anybody think about the Series Premiere of Supergirl when that plane crash-landed in the river next to a bridge?

    - So it took 5 years for the team (aside from Joe) to figure out that S.T.A.R. Labs has a lounge and a D.E.O. type balcony!

    - Thanks to Ralph, Caitlin (who was looking FINE by the way) may be a step closer to finding out the truth of Killer Frost’s existence!

I still have my reservations about Nora! She may have an ulterior motive for being in the past/present or she is not who she says she is! Either way, I not ready to root for someone who will obviously be present for only one season! Also, still need to a little more time to warm up to Barry’s new suit and Cicada looks and sounds like one mean motherfucker!

I know I said I was done, but this morning I had some time and saw it on Demand and decided to watch it until it either disgusted me or I was finished with breakfast.

Instead I watched the entire episode. I guess I'm back for now, this was actually a good episode. Everyone was in their niche, the story moved at a good pace and had a good layering to it.
I'm glad that they didn't try to drag out that Nora didn't grow up with her father as some sort of mid-season reveal and got it out in the open right away.

If they can maintain this level of quality, it can creep back into my good graces.

I have a theory about how Killer Frost could have existed when she was a child...

I think the answer is in Black Lightening. The kids who were experimented on are also called Meta Humans but they have totally different origins than the Flash Metas and existed before the Partical Excelerator exploded which means the time lines pretty much match up for Caitlen to be a Green Light experiment.

I take it the villain this season is someone who wants to see all metals dead.

    Drunk Cisco is hilarious.

Also I'm really liking Nora, I hope she doesn't some how turn out to be the villain because she is both cute and powerful and she just better actually be who she says she is cause I would be really dissapointed if she turned out to be lying.

I don't think that Nora is a villain, but there's still something more than meets the eye here. One way or another, she seems to be connected to the Legion of Super-Heroes: when she was having coffee together with Iris, she casually remarked - upon seeing the pattern in the cup - that "Dad's lightning bolt is way cooler than Lightning Lad's". How can Nora know who Lightning Lad is? Especially since the only version we've seen of the Legion is from Supergirl's Earth-38, and so far Earth-1 and Earth-38 haven't had many counterparts of the same character, if any.

Here we should note that Barry Allen's granddaughter, Jenni Ognats, was a member of the 'rebooted' Legion with the codename XS - the same name that Nora uses. The suit has certain similarities to Jenni's, and Nora actually looks a bit like Jenni too, especially in her early appearances in season 4.

So what is the connection? Is Barry's daughter 'Nora' actually his granddaughter Jenni from a thousand years into the future? I thought so as long as we only had her appearances in season 4, but after seeing this episode I don't feel that it is quite as likely - Nora seems genuine, and she really does seem to know all the people in Barry's circle of family and friends. And if she was a (heroic) granddaughter rather than a (heroic) daughter, why would she feel that she has to hide their actual relation? (Okay, it's slightly weirder to obsess about your grandfather's past than your father's, and might even indicate a bit of perhaps not entirely healthy hero worship, but not weird enough that it would necessarily make Barry and friends turn her away.)
So for now I have to believe that she actually is who she says she is, and that she lived at least part of her life in the next few decades.

There's still the reference to Lightning Lad though, and the probable(?) connection to the Legion of Super-Heroes. How does that work out?

She could know about the Leigon because maybe they time traveled and Barry just also happen to be on that Earth helping Supergirl at the time. She also knew about the device used to meet Supergirl for the first time so it seems likely that she would also know about other times Barry traveled to her Earth that maybe he hasn't even done yet.

Also I had this theory a while back that the Legion could exist on Earth 1 but in a very different copacity. Because of course the Legion was pretty much founded on the ideals of Superman. Every member is a Superman fan. But of course there is no Superman on Earth 1 so maybe those characters could still exist but some could be villains or still be heroes just not part of a team.

This isn't even the first time the Legion has been referenced, or rather a Legion character. One of them was referenced on Legends of Tomorrow before as well.

We haven't actually seen any of these characters but I think it'd be an interesting story line if characters from Supergirl's Earth met their counterparts from Earth one. A bunch of hero worshiping do gooders who fight for truth, justice, and the American way just like their hero and maybe heroes, maybe not, but most definantly have a different way of doing things because they aren't united under Superman's ideals.

It seems weird to me that there are no counterparts at all shared between Earth 1 and Earth 38. Every single other Earth seems to have counterparts. Earth X even had counterparts to both Earth 1 and Earth 38 characters existing on the same Earth.

Personally I think they do have counterparts. However I think that Krypton 1 either never exploded or Kal El and Kara died with everyone else on their planet and that's why Barry had never heard of them. Like wise there probably is a Barry Allen on Earth 38 but he just doesn't have super powers. Unless Barry Allen is famous Supergirl would also never have known him even if he existed on her Earth.

That said it wouldn't be too hard to imagine a very different version of Lightening Lad existing in Earth 1's future. I don't think there is a Legion of Superheroes on Earth 1 because like I said before that group was founded based on the ideals of Superman. Without a Superman to idolize there's nothing for them to unite under. So the group wouldn't exist but some of it's members might still exist with very different personalities due to the fact they didn't grow up learning about Superman.

This is just a theory to maybe explain the references to those characters in this universe. You can take it or leave it but till something comes up that forces me to either abandon or revise this theory this is personally what I think is going on.

The 2049 article has been enhanced and posted online. It gives massive hints towards Crisis on Infinite Earths. In a post-COIE setting, there is no multiverse - all the worlds are fused into one. Thus explaining how Nora can know the Legion despite them being from Earth-38 as of now.
