i hated the 86 movie. they killed off everyone good and gave us a bunch of dumb space characters. just to sell us new toys. i knew this even as a kid. i moved on from transformers entirely shortly after. hot rod is the only reissue they made enough of. he's a best seller actually. everything else is selling out immediately. they won't let you get stuff in the back room cause they are being held for the reset.

This was/has been my opinion as well...I could never get past the situation in Transformers: the Movie to come to like Hot Rod. I ended up buying the reissue the other day while I was in the store getting Devastator. I had intended not to purchase the Hot Rod reissue, but once I was there in the store, looking at the back of the box and seeing the toy in the box, I ended up getting it. I don't think I will take it out(I did cut the tape and flip it to the correct packaging position, as we have all heard of the reverse packaging error for this guy, but I did not cut him out of the plastic tethers).

I do wish they would put out more characters. Seems like the demand is there.

Did the minibots even get released? Does anyone have them? Did they make like 7 of each and randomly throw them into boxes of other products being shipped to who knows where? I would have bought at least three Bumblebee(one to open, one to keep MISB, and one for my son)...

Dunno why some of you guys assume the minibots are a lost cause... They haven't even been released at US retail yet. Give it time, they will arrive.

    EDIT:

Okay, so I found the article where the doubts are coming from:
2018 G1 Transformers Reissues to Probably be Available Online Only in the US

If this is the case, and they end up like TLK Hot Rod, can I assume they'll end up heavily discounted at my local Ollie's a year from now? Cause that would also be fine with me :buttrock

Regarding the current releases, they're addictive:

Walmart and/or Hasbro would be stupid not to keep this up.

You and me both cause I'd love to see more of this line in stores. I'd love a chance to get all i could from this G1 line and if possible get some of the big boys. I know Fort Max is encored right know but come on it would be awesome to have a USA release and Omegs Supreme USA as well.

It’s like you read my mind then wrote it down. I generally just collect MP transformers but do have some g1 rereleases. I already had devy and ss but would like to get bee if they ever release him. I just bought a KO of mp hot rod so that’s enough of him for me since I don’t really like him and it cost me less than this release of him would.

I hope this as well, but it would be nice if Walmart could be removed from the equation. I'm glad the big 3 are showing up in stores, but the whole online ordering really soured me on the minibots. 16 orders for Outback, 16 cancellations. Maybe they'll show up eventually.

Guys, I stopped at my local Walmart this morning (Centerville, UT), and there were 42 Devastators on the shelf!!! Yes, 42. There were 2 on the shelf by the rest of the Transformers stuff, and there were 40 on an end cap. All priced at $74 each. They also had three Star Screams and about eight Hot Rods. No minibots :(

Partially true. The hobby shop in my Mall sold the Constructicons for $8 a piece in 86, but that was high. Most places probably sold them for around $6. It varied.
