Cheers guys... that looks about right for me. Might look into those alternative heads on Shapeways as well.

I wonder is it that Headstrong & Tantrum have big heads or that the cats have really small heads ?
I actually don't mind bigger heads on Transformers - there is no particular reason they have to all be pin heads really if the Transformation has the space for a bigger head. When you think about it that their heads are slimmer than their arms is a trifle strange.

It's definitely Bovis and Fortis that have the large heads on the OSKO, the cats are proportionally the same as on the original Rex. (I admittedly don't have the OSKO yet, just ordered and in the post, but I did own the original Rex before selling it on and that's what it looks like to me.) I get what you're saying about most Transformers having pinheads, but I do think that B&F's robot heard are just a little too large, going in the other direction to the super-deformed level. It might not look as bad on a taller, lankier not, but the squat proportions make it especially SD-esque for me.

I think what happened is that Jinbao upscaled the animal heads on B&F to make their beast modes look better, scaled the robot heads with the beast heads since they store inside, and didn't focus as much on what they would look like in robot mode. I'm surprised they didn't make new robot heads for those two in the upgrade kit, since it fixed most of the other issues, so I guess Jinbao thought it was fine as-is.

Yes I know in comparion the originals the heads are bigger on the Rhino-bot and the bull-bot - I was speaking in terms of looking at them in isolation that when placed in a row the cats heads look to small rather than the ruminents to big.
I also prefer the bigger head on the overscale Feral Rex mode too - I think it suits him better.

In any ways do Jinbao planning to make a new version of Feral Rex that will be more closely to MMC Feral Rex or Neoarts Feral Rex? or making it higher quality like their Bruticus and Devastator?

So, I got these, and although simplified, they do the job of representing the original figures. Just a few issues I'd like to fix, if anyone knows how.

I got a couple of smaller headpieces for Tantrum and Headstrong from Shapeways, and those face sculpts are pretty great; however, the Divebomb and Razorclaw facesculpts I think are just too simplified, both on the JinBao versions and the Shapeways replacements. Does anyone know of any other options?

Razorclaw's mane is a fixed piece at full extension for the Predaking chest; however, for posing a Razorclaw, it's just too big. Again, does anyone know of any fixes other than cutting off the excess pieces?

    Ta.

I bought this set and a bag of ratchet joints came with them. Anyone get this bag too and know what it's for?[IMG]

I haven't seen those before. They look sort of like the wrists that come on the upgrade hands. I'm not at home to compare, though. BTW, your image is broken in the forum. I had to copy the address and go directly to Flickr to see them.

Not sure, but unlikely. The Jinbao is oversized and you'd need a side by side of the MMC and Jinbao to see if the smaller MMC heads would look too small on the Jinbao. That and whether the heads would even fit

hi i have a question, am i able to put divebomb on the back of the member who is predakings torso? besides putting him on his arm, i would liek to see if i can fit him on predakings back, so hes not left out, so it would be divebomb attachedo nto the back of predaking and then the wings would still be on divebomb

You can. It’s a little back heavy then but it can work for sure. There is a port on the back of razor claw so you just attach him there.

Put him on a tablecloth or add something to his feet. It will help him from doing the splits.

I sprayed some gray Plasti-Dip on a piece of paper, then dipped the bottom of the feet in that. It's helped a lot. Also, there's that piece in the heel that flips up and supports the back of the leg pieces, which helps it be a lot more stable.

I forgot about that little bit. It's supposed to be for attaching to the alt modes but it totally helps stability.

Oh, those heads are tempting! I'm still debating on pulling the trigger, and I see the OS Black variant is out now too, along with the OS upgrade kit...

Here I am asking again, so I've decided to get a giant Predaking, but the legit 3p ones are beyond my range, so to anyone who has both, which is the better set this one or Hasbro's version?

The jinbao one is a mess. I don't own either, but I had the seller of the Jinbao one go out of his way to convince me to not buy it....

I've watched a lot of reviews and the jinbao can't stand/pose well or even hold that giant sword. So the only way I would recommend the jinbao one is if you can get it for the $45 ($70 after shipping) it goes for in China. Neither of the two are good for their robot modes. I personally think the Hasbro one is better. I will probably get that one with the upgrade kit.

There are no larger 3p predakings btw. They are all smaller than Jinbao and the Hasbro one. If your ok with a smaller one there is a 1 for 1 KO of feral rex out there.
