i found this at a Meijer in Fort Wayne, Indiana earlier tonight. I expect this will hit multiple retail outlets and I believe it’s on hallmark.com as well. Is the Optimus the one that came out last year? I have so many Optimus ornament I wasn’t sure. $7.99 was the price

 

Yeah, the Optimus Ornament is the one from last year (new box, though). The Bumblebee is definitely new.

This reminds me that! At NYCC ther's a booth displaying Hallmark stuff and next to the Keepsake Starscream for this year is a preview of next year's which is Bumblebee with the G1 head that was on the Encore version and the current Walmart reissue.

 

I’ll drop them a message now. It’s a pretty decent ornament and not that expensive!

 

Another one to be on the lookout for, don't own a regular size fake tree. But I have a healthy regular size tree ornament collection.

Saw him at my local shopko, which normally sucks are far as anything transformers related.

 

These will probably show up at Target. They carry the low end Hallmark stuff.

 

Im not a huge fan of these due to the often sloppy paint jobs. The Hallmark release this year is Starscream, and he looks fantastic...G1 toy theme. But the price of those ornaments is creeping up.

 

Huh. And I only just got the annual series Starscream ornament.

There are no words.. No words as to how happy I'd be to see that little gloryhog retired for a decade. It would do the toyshelves miracles if nothing else.

I have collected every Hallmark Keepsake G1 ornament since they started. Every year the price has steadily gone up from 14.99 to now 17.99 for Starscream. 17.99 still isnt super expensive in the grand scheme of things but it is for a non-transforming little statue that i see one month a year. They have that optimus out at Wal-Mart already, and at 7.99 it doesnt seem like a bad deal. But if you look close at both of those ornaments, you can clearly see how sloppy the paint is, optimus has a crushed looking faceplate, bee\'s yellow is on his legs, it\'s just really sloppy. When i see that, and then look at the starscream from this year and how crisp, clean, and nice looking it is, i realize that I paid 10 bucks more for better craftsmanship and I\'m okay with that. I guess it just boils down to personal preference. Now if Bumblebee is 18.99 next year......
