Seeing Shockwave high five someone feels wrong on so many levels.

And seeing Bumblebee have his voice box ripped out is actually really horrifying and effective.

I enjoyed how this episode explained why anyone would want to join the Decepticons. Megatron is a very persuasive speaker. In general, the pre-war aspect of this show is what I enjoy the most.

For what this show is, it’s amazing. I just wish the figures were better.

    Region-locked - again.

Another episode that I won't be viewing through official sources, as you wish Hasbro.

Seems like they're getting a bit political... Painting Megatron the same way people try to paint Trump.

Shockwave is so weird in this show. I get that they\'re going for the classic G1 logic version, but the frowny face eyebrows, high fiving Bee and bug turrets make it really hard to take him seriously.

Seems like the most frequent comments at the moment are either about Shockwave high fiving Bee, or the post war Cybertron backstory. Funny how diverse our fan conversations can be. Personally this was one of my favourite episodes so far got to see what I consider all of the most iconic Decepticon characters in one episode Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, & Shockwave(personal favourite), and seeing Bumblebee’s voice box ripped out felt like a truly emotional scene. I really like the tone of this show.

I can’t believe I peaked at the scrudding yotube comments before watching this! :p

The only thing that left me a little cold was Shockwave’s voice. Otherwise, this was really an excellent episode, and I look forward to future episodes that aren’t an interconnected series of flashbacks.

And, alas, poor Grimlock was knocked out cold, right at the start! xD

Though, I wonder if that was supposed to be a fire blast deco or what for Grimsy.

For starters, it might be a revisiting of the dynamic between Megs & Prime in Transformers: The Autocracy Trilogy, so maybe we’ll see Zeta Prime and the Vampiric Ribbons, eventually.

But, I don’t think it was any more political than G1 Megatron being a Cackling Megolomaniac, who also turns into a WWII German pistol. Conversely, when Megs is in his lair and snarling at Prime about “taking action,” I faintly recollected Sin Dios’ “Alerta Antifascista.” So, I don’t think it’s anything more than timing, and perhaps perspective, which would imply that Megs is a metaphor for the president anymore than Megs could be a metaphor for militant dissidents of any particular ideology.

Now, I also don’t know if there will be a substantial explanation as to why the war started—besides forcing Cybertron to somehow only produce Decepticons. Though, a better explanation than “control of the Allspark” might settle some of this. Oh, and maybe I would have a better idea if I had looked at the future episode titles and descriptions, but I’m trying to approach Cyberverse fresh and without any advance speculation.

Shockwave sounded a lot like he did in Prime, which is a very cool nod.

Interesting to see the darker tone coming out in this cartoon, that was straight brutal at the end.

Also, Shadow Striker suplexed Bumblebee, in car mode. Amazing.

By far my favorite episode so far!! Nice to see some Decepticons. Good battle scenes and I loved Shockwave and his little minions. They reminded me of Tarantulas and his little spiderbots. Shockwave might be more of a mad scientist in this. Soundwave was cool too and Megatron looked great! Too bad we didn't see any of his minions.

Wow, best episode yet. More of this please! The whole searching his memory banks thing actually lends itself really well to fleshing out the Transformers\' history. I\'m pleasantly surprised by how dark and on point they got with the rise of Megatron and the loss of Bee\'s voice chip without dumbing down the dialogue too much. Soundwave and Shockwave were both scene stealers. I found it odd at the beginning that Megs was fighting a recolored Grimlock. At first I thought it was supposed to be him as a nod to his history as a gladiator himself in some continuities. Perhaps it is supposed to be him and Bee just doesn't recognize him yet.

This was a great episode and I am really enjoying this show so far. It is nice to have a Transformers cartoon where there is no interaction with humans and there are a lot of scenes on Cybertron (I am intentionally forgetting all the Machinama series).

I have not picked up any toys yet but would like to get the Warrior toys. Too bad the case assortments are horrible (1 Shockwave per case in wave 1 and 1 Acid Storm per case in wave 2).

Did you also see that brief shot of him attaching a second head onto some seeker's body?
