Thanks to everyone posting pics. Despite the inaccuracy this still looks amazing. I love it's proportions and for the 1st time ever I really like Bee's movie face; he actually looks cute now instead of creepy.

 

I love the call-backs to the G1 toy design in the head, especially with the battle mask:

 

That's cool. however, i think Travis got the wrist sword idea from his 07 deluxe toy too.

 

I know this is an odd request but if anyone has him could you take some pictures of him next to some movie1 and 2 figures?

 

Does anybody know if the backpack is connected by screws and can be easily removed?

I have to say that after a few run-throughs, I'm now finding the transformation quite enjoyable. If you're just getting him, don't be put off by the first transformation (which is pure hell, especially if you only follow the instructions). There are two clips that the instructions don't mention: the way the way the shoulders clip together when you fold them into the car, and they grey peg shown in Kevin Liu's video that helps hold the forearms in place. It's also easy to miss the peg mentioned in step 53 of the instructions. If you peg that in first, it makes it a lot easier to fold the front wheel arches in, because it will ensure they are properly aligned. I also find it easier to leave the rear wheel arches rotated up until the sides are clipped in, because that allows space to press down on the piece of car attached to the forearm so that it makes room for the tab on the front door. I also realised that when transforming the legs, you don't want to push the black parts holding the rear of the car on all the way into the legs like you do in robot mode, otherwise the tab that holds them together won't meet the hole it is intended for. Once you realise you need to have all of those tabs in place, the transformation becomes a *lot* smoother (although it still takes around ten minutes   ).

Do you have pictures or a description of your design anywhere? I would very much be interested in seeing it. Drift is one of my favorite movie designs and im sure it could be pulled off well, I'm just not sure how.
