I plan on having my Shockwave in "goblin glider mode" I love that you have options with the armour when it's not in use.

I still think the armor can be a bot. It has two additional arms, so making the lens piece a face would make it into Fistfight.

I could see it being used as Apex Armor, it certainly has the firepower.

I said it in the other thread, but his spaceship mode looks like the Nemesis.
That may be the only reason I ever have him in the armor, because that ship looks pretty awesome.

    Just saw the NYCC pictures.
As an autobot guy I'm sad to see all these decepticons are cooler than the boring autobots with stupid plain car modes that we saw until now.
It may be the first line where I'll get more 'cons than 'bots.

So, do we think we're gonna get a new Blaster as well? And if so, how long before we get close to getting all the main cassettes before they drop the gimmick for whatever new version of Soundwave they make next?

A few Shockwaves, a Tidal Wave, Trypticon and you've got a Decepticon Navy on you're hands.

I hope we get a Blaster, but with a different alt mode. Hoping that Soundwave gets all his casettes in this part, so the focus can be on Blaster and his casettes in the 2nd part of WFC.

I'm gonna stick with the huge "City Commander Blaster" (as I call it) from TR.

    Ravage
    Laserbeak
    Buzzsaw
    Frenzy
    Rumble
    Ratbat
    Slugfest
    Overkill
    Squawtalk
    Beastbox
And then there's the Japanese and latter day redeco's.
It's doubtfull we'll even get his most famous six minions in this line.
But we might get them all eventually.
And I agree we need Blaster in WFC part 2.

This line is the biggest fanservice I've ever seen, lol.

Wave 1 and 2 have the all the Season 1 Decepticons, minus Thundercracker and Skywarp repaints which we're certain to get, and Frenzy/Rumble, who we are almost certain to get too before long.

And everything is in scale with each other.

And they even made a new Decepticon out of Trypticon's old tower tank thing....

I never thought my GDO Shockwave from this year would ever be replaced. And then they go and do that - release a Voyager with Armor at a Leader price point. Ingenious.

I'm gonna eat this line up. A lot of the Universe / Generations G1 cast that's been lurking on the shelf for years is going to be replaced. I still think Henkei Hound is the one to beat though.

If you look at the transformation scheme, I think it's fairly clear that Hasbro made a dual use mold out of this toy, and I think customizers are going to do it very fast.

The top part, that makes it all "cybertrony", is connected to an arm-like thing and just sits on his back awkwardly in Robot mode. It's not an integral load bearing piece or anything. It's an appendage. It looks like it will be able to easily be removed by anybody and may even be left out in future "non" WFC releases if this is the replacement for the Classics Mold as many suspect. Something that supports this is that Optimus Prime's top of chest lights are plainly visibile in robot mode, but covered by this top piece. Removing the top piece would put them exaclty where you'd expect them. Lastly, if you look carefully, it's removal would, on it's own, lead to a "tall stacks" look in vehicle mode.

As far as the front bumper area, the "gun look" is plainly meant for WFC. But those are again, appendages that swing under the forearms in robot mode. It would be an easy remold for Hasbro to make them more like a normal bumper.

There is so much in this figure which makes me think we'll see an Earth Version at some point.

That goes for some of the rest of the line too. Careful looking at Soundwave's joints, and you can see a tape deck mode, even if it is an unofficial one that was designed into it. With Shockwave they built a voyager figure into a leader mold. They made pretty much the definitive tank Megatron. Sideswipe doesn't even look Cybertronian.

I think what they're doing with their most iconic characters is just building molds they can use over and over again for the next decade with some variants.

Well, having slept on it...I think this all looks really good. Excellent even!

I wasn't too certain about the renders, but having seen the diorama I'm sold. Shockwave looks amazing. I'm so glad that the speculation was on the money and we're getting our ideal Voyager Shockwave with optional extar armour to take him up to the leader class price point (I'd have been happy just getting a Voyager and paying less, but it is what it is). I definitely think the armour looks like a lot of fun and I love the Mecha-Shiva thing. A four armed Shockwave. Delightful!

Megatron is going to be such a sweet upgrade from the TR version hanging around my Lost Light shelf. And I'm going to have a great time recreating Shockwave and Megatron's brawl from the early Marvel comics days.

Soundwave looks great, but I'm wondering how much compromise has been made to get that cassette chest working. His arms look way skinny in those renders.

Starscream is a big step up from the PotP version. I imagine I'll not be the only one putting my PotP Starscream up for sale. Tetrajet my arse. BSG should sue. Starscream was the first one I noticed had some lightpiping. Nice to seen that making a comeback.

I'm loving Brunt and Reflector but resenting the push towards army building. Are these two going to be a pain to buy multiples of? Is doing that even going to be that satisfying. Do I really need a big camera? Nonetheless I really do like the Stormbringer call back.

Flywheels looked so good that I forgot that I should be upset that he doesn't form two robots. That makes sense as far as comparing the budget of a Deluxe to the budget of two Legends. That tank is a bit shite though. One of those moments when it would have been really good to stray from the G1 stylings.

The 'Spy Patrol' is a brilliant way of sneaking Soundwave's cassettes into the line and I'm kicking myself for not guessing. It certainly opens the door up for speculation. We really don't have much of an idea what the fourth wave of Micromasters will hold.

I'm still quite lukewarm on the Battlemasters. I'm probably just going to get Lionizer and leave it at that.

It's great to see confirmation of Omega Supreme and very satisfying to know he's still going to have a tank component. Can we take a moment to cheer for Countdown? So glad that one of my favourite Micromasters made the cut.

I've updated the fiirst page with the new renders. Off I hop to the speculation thread.

I am thinking this COMBAT weapons system should make it really easy to perch Laserbeak on either Megatron or Soundwave's arm.

I am overwhelmingly happy with all of the new previews from NYCC. I didn't see a single that I don't want. I can actually see why they waited to show these figures because they really do outshine the Autobots. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Autobots and was amazed at how great they look, but seeing these Decepticons literally brought a tear to my eye with how amazing each one looked in bot mode. I am going to be checking off a lot of boxes for characters I need an ideal representation of (I literally have a spreadsheet to keep track lol).

Having said all of that, I am not too keen on Starscream and Soundwave's alt modes, but I find them very acceptable. I also find myself curious if Soundwave can fit Universe Ravage that came with Hound in his chest, because that would be amazing! I don't find myself too interested in the majority of the Micromaster Patrol sets, with the notable exception of Soundwave's Spy, but I may still get them to go with my Titans in base mode. Their combined weapon modes are not to great, but I do hope this leads to some kind of updates to the Skyboom Shield, Requiem Blaster, and Star Saber in the coming lines

Depending on the final products, I may be one of those who will be trying to removed the battle damage, and hope Reprolables helps with that. I am not too crazy about it, and like my figures clean looking. I wonder if HasTak are doing this to give these figures more identity from past and future incarnations of the common characters in the line...

The COMBAT system is an amazing gimmick that will be a ton of fun to fiddle with, come up with crazy combinations, and create dramatic displays like the dioramas Hasbro has shown. The weapon effects that come with the Battlemasters will be a welcome addition for that. After staring at the figures, I noticed many of them had pegs on their bodies that you can attach the effects to show them being shot. I have to wonder if they are the same size as the Titan Master and Prime Master pegs? If so, then that is another way the 3 lines can integrate as the Masters can peg into the WFC Siege figures, and we can use the effects on TR and POTP figures. I can't tell if the Micromasters have peg holes on their feet but the Battlemasters definitely do not (the Takara LG Targetmasters didn't either), which is a shame and a missed opportunity.

All in all, Siege is looking amazing, and I cannot wait to start getting my hands on them. My only real complaint is not getting anymore of the amazing Legend class figures like we have been getting throughout the Prime Wars Trilogy. We still need the Throttlebots, a proper Pipes and Huffer, perhaps a Warpath (I am personally happy with the Generations Deluxe, but that was a while ago), and a GOSH DARN PROPER CLIFFJUMPER! Seriously, he was a staple of the first 3 seasons, voiced by the legendary Casey Kasem! How have the not giving him any love?!

Lastly, for a bit of speculation.... after the tease showing that Omega Supreme is the next Titan. It stands to reason that Scorponok will be the next Titan, in 2020 most likely. That would lead to logical speculation of HasTak bringing back the Headmaster and Targetmaster characters, giving us the rest of the Targetmaster partners as Battlemasters in the next line and most likely the 3 Autobot Targetmasters as Deluxes. This would ultimately be ideally paired with the Horrorcons as Triple-changers. I also believe that since we are getting an extremely well-matched Optimus and Megatron in Siege, that it stands to reason that perhaps we will get a new Voyager Galvatron and a proper Voyager Rodimus Prime, though hopefully not a rehash of Evolution Rodimus. This would keep with the War For Cybertron concept, with it being pre and post Earth wars that were fount mainly on Cybertron... And then maybe WFC line 3 could have a bunch of Japanese only characters from Victory and Master Force. I would love to get a Star Saber myself.
