Thanks for sharing. That Takara one makes me not even want to buy the Target one anymore.

 

Yup, it's worth the few extra bucks in my opinion. I was bummed about Hasbro & Takara "unifying" their designs with Power of the Primes. Imagine what Takara would have done with POTP Optimus.

 

Just saw this thread, as I just joined today. My local store has two left, so I think I am going to order one online and pick it up on my way home. Seems like a cool version of Soundwave.

 

If it goes to clearance, I might get it. Otherwise... nah.

I have Blaster and 3 Masterpiece Soundwaves.

And ya, he is a really nice figure, and I don't know if you have the TR version, but I think the Target version is way better!

Btw you might want to pop off the base mode ramps in the leg because (with mine at least), it helps him stand...

 

How do the ramps keep yours from standing?

 

It's not that they keep him from standing, but they do keep the ankle from going up into the leg all the way, and more so on mine because, my copy has simi-loose ankles, so removing the ramps makes it so the top of the foot touches the bottom of the leg witch makes him feel way more stable. (And don't worry, the ankle tilt still works, you just pull the foot down a little)

 

Picked it up on my way home. Really like the packaging. I haven't opened it yet, as I have to say, I'm not sure if I really want to spend like $50 on this with all the other options out there.

 

I'm waiting for a sale.  

 

So, I opened it...not bad, but not great. Feels like $35 would have been a better price for this. For the money, it should have a cassette with him. Maybe it will grow on me...
