The thing is, Bumblebee has used or will use violence in all six live action movies, but he's never, ever been bloodthirsty like some fans make him out to be. He fought and threatened to fight humans in the Bay movies - he pulled out his gun in 2007 when unthawed in Hoover Dam, and he fights TRF and Nazis in TLK - and his ego becomes more fragile in AoE, but there wasn't this imaginary point in the Bay movies where he suddenly became this evil Autobot who happily killed for no reason.

People are free to dislike or criticize this or any other version of Bumblebee or any other Bay character. That's fine. I just dislike it when the criticisms aren't based in reality. Or when people don't think for themselves and parrot each other ad nauseum.

 

I think a lot of that stems from people conflating Murder Prime into all Autobot personalities. Let's be honest, Bay Prime is a bloodthirsty SOB. "KILL THEM ALL!" "GIMME YER FACE!" Bee never really struck me the same, but I'm able to follow congruent characters as separate entities.

 

I agree. Yes Bee's a killer but he still holds back when he can.

Looking at these pics got me thinking, since hasbro has a big say in what goes on screen now, may be the cybertron scenes may indicate what we will get with the wfc line no???

 

Yeah, I never understood people calling out Bumblebee for being trigger-happy and overpowered. He's a skilled soldier in the middle of an extinction-threatening conflict who is trained to do anything to survive. He's had violent kills like literally every other high-profile Autobot on screen, but every other idiosyncrasy depicts his innate lightheartedness, even if it's in the shallow Bay fashion. The other characters are just perpetually angry, Optimus among them.

 

Didnt kill him. He left him to repair himself. Barricade not showing up in the final battle was Ironhide's' doing. He rammed him into that post.

I know, I was agreeing with you. Bee had 3 opportunities to kill Barry but ignored him when he was no longer a threat.

 

Ohhh. Sorry my bad. And yes very true. Bee goes brutal when humans are in danger. Like Rampage & Ravage in ROTF and Soundwave in DOTM. And well Stinger was personal I guess. XD XD. Stinger is like the only kill I can think of that Bee was craving the act of murder.

This movie looks like what the first Bayverse movie should of been especially with those Cybertronian scenes bot modes. Thank fuck Michael Bay isn\'t directing it (pity about being a producer on it). Prequel, soft reboot, or whatever, finally something that gets you excited about a TF movie again.
