Like many of you, I grew with the G-1 Toys, Cartoons, Comics. My lifelong dream was to see to the G-1 Universe come to life on the silver-screen. After the first Bayformers Movie I was exhilarated, not 100% happy but there was a lot to be hopeful for. After each subsequent release, the further Bay strayed away from the source material and what the essence of Transformers was really about.

Suffice to say, I had given up, and just appreciated the wonderful work that has been released across many mediums. But after seeing that latest trailer and seeing Ravage come out Soundwave's chest I soon started to realize that my lifelong dream is coming to Fruition. I want to Thank Travis Knight, from the looks of it this guy "gets it".

Now If we get a "real" Starscream! Formidable, not a coward like Bayscream, too useful for Megatron to obliterate, challenging Megatron's plans and making it know why he should lead, and his tendency to vocalize his sinister high pitched and maniacal voice as if he was screaming like G-1 "Starscream" (R.I.P Chirs Latta) I would completely lose my mind. Bonus points if we get the real Rumble, the pound for pound most badass Robot to ever spawn from Cybertron. I'm officially excited again, I haven't felt this way in years. The cinematic future is bright for this franchise.

I'm with you man. Last time I saw the movie was the 3rd one, in 2011 which is years ago. This movie was under my radar until the first trailer came out. I was a little bit sceptical, and then I watched the trailer and got excited for the movie for the first time in years.
That cybertron scene probably just a little flashback, but I'm still can't wait for this film to come out.

Er..should I spoil you the identity of the seeker from the trailer? ^^' And yeh, I remember how hyped I was when the first movie was announced and all the hopes I had for the franchise when I walked out of the theather after seeing the first BayFormers. Then came ROTF, then DOTM, then AoE and..ugh..finally TLK. Damn...its like they just give up right after ROTF. :S FX are great and all, we get some cool toys these years but...storywise is a mess and can be SO boring! :(
This Bumblebee trailer? It sure has my hopes high again. Maybe its the tone it has, the focus they are giving it but sure feels way better. :)

You do know the seeker in the movie is not Starscream right? Its been confirmed to be Blitzwing. Megatron is on ice this is a prequel to the 07 movie, although maybe some part of the cybertron flashback might have Megatron and Starscream in it. At this point Starscream has not been said to have a part in the movie.

I like the Bay films and universe. I don't have an interest in seeing G1 style anything in a movie. That was what the 1986 film was for, which was boring.

Believe it or not, some of the so-called "Transformers" fans making Youtube Trailer review videos are alleging that's actually Blitzwing standing next to Soundwave. /Facepalm

Lucky for you, you have 6 movies to enjoy. Now it's G-1's turn to shine. This Movie is going to blow Bayformers out of the water. This movie is going to bigger than what's currently being projected IMO.

To be fair that seeker does exactly match Blitzwing's (if that is actually him) appearance.

It is still unknown at this point whether that is Starscream or Blitzwing.
Maybe it is Blitzwing because it has similar design with Blitzwing on earth.
Or it could be Starscream because Skywarp & Thundercracker also appear alongside Shockwave in the trailer.

Didn't Travis Knight say Starscream appears on Cybertron scenes? I'm guessing that the one on Earth is Blitzwing and one on Cybertron is Starscream.

There's like a billion seeker jets in that trailer. The chances that one of them is Starscream is pretty high.

Cah you post the picture that has any Blue painting on Blitzwing, or the signature yellowish gold cockpit window which is synonymous with Starscream?

I'd love to be proven wrong, but key details do match for both the one on Cybertron and on Earth, the head shape, red coloration placement, identical chest, even the red arrow on the chest where "INTAKE" is written on the Earth one is still present on the Cybertronian one, sans wording. If I can find that pic someone did of the two side by side you'd see that they're both identical save for some kibble changes.

God I'm sick of hearing this. The idea that G1 doesn't get any love...

This movie succeeding or failing has nothing to do with the designs it has to do with whether or not it'll actually be a good/enjoyable movie.

Glad you found something to get excited for.

Although I didn't think any of the sequels were any less closer to the source material or "essence" of Transformers than the 2007 film. All five movies were heavily influenced by stories and characters from the original cartoon. And as a fan for decades, I have no idea what the "essence" of Transformers is. To sell toys? Transformers is pretty darn broad.
