    Skyrim update:

Well, you learn something new every day.
Learned something about the game that never came up before, over my last playthrough and my current one.

I’m at the point in the Dark Brotherhood questline where you assassinate the Gourmet, and an optional task has you hide the body. Well, I’ve never been able to figure out how to move objects. I’ve seen it in the PC version, but I play on X360 and assumed I couldn’t. Even online FAQs never seemed to specify how to do it. FINALLY found out how to last night.
Yeah yeah, I know, how the hell did I NOT know that. :p

Also found out that the Jarl of Markarth has his own personal smithing area. Over 2 playthroughs and entering Understone Keep countless times, I never came across that room. Weird.

The F.E.A.R collection was on sale on Steam so I picked it up. Fired up the first game and whilst it does look very 2005 the gameplay is solid.

    I'm addicted to Doom.

It started with me buying Ultimate Doom in a Steam Sale.

Then when I beat it, I started playing Doom II

Then I bought the other add ons, like the extra doom II levels and Final Doom, with intent of playing all of those.

I also bought Doom III (even though I've heard it's not that good) and I am definitely going to buy Doom '16 and Doom Enteral at some point.

I'm currently playing Final doom, and I assume I am nowhere near done yet.

    Help.

I'm playing Skyrim also - on Switch for me (first time). Still pretty early on - I'm at level 17 or so. I guess my feelings are mixed. It certainly has a lot to like. Most of my complaints are probably more matters of personal preference - I think it is a bit too complicated, and it pushes too many quests on you too fast. Also it's a bit brutal and bloodthirsty for my taste.

I will say that I think the melee combat is pretty lousy. It's just so floaty and disconnected. It desperately needs some kind of way to lock onto your opponent like you can in Zelda.

Was sick off work for most of last week so actually committed time and effort to a proper go at Football Manager 2018.

Started as Fulham in the English second division. Halfway through the season I'm top of the table. Was unbeaten until a rough patch of 4 losses in 5 games in December. I blame... well quite frankly everyone but me.

Kid Icarus. I'm in the second dungeon. Some little shit stain of a pluton fly stole my freshly earned fire arrows prior. I barely made it to the dungeon hot springs.

Started to play Batman Arkham Knight after getting myself a PS4 recently. So far I'm learning the controls for the game and driving the Batmobile is so metal.

I've been playing Yoku's Island Express for Switch. It's a lot of fun! The pinball/metroidvania hybrid is really neat, and the characters and art style are adorable.

Dragon Quest 11. Just need to vent: FUCK the horse racing game. I hate racing games when I am well, but trying to do them while recovering from a major surgery? I hope that whoever decided to make locking the platinum trophy behind this crappy mini-game gets shingles.

I just started on my Assassins Creed odessey game. Then bought the season pass so i get the other AC games coming with season pass. I still lack getting the hardcover guide but I'll get that in November. I can't wait to play AC 3 and liberation game remastered when they come out on ps4. I have those games but i really wanted them on ps 4.

Got Super Mario Party for me and the kids. Been playing a bunch this weekend and it's a blast. Their only Mario Party experience previously was MP10 on Wii U, which pales in comparison to this new one. Highly recommended if you've got people to play with.

Just finished Axiom Verge on the Switch. I had to use a guide for more than a few of the weapons, since unfortunately I don't have the time to spend to check every nook and cranny for secrets, but the game is great fun and definitely something to whet my appetite till Metroid Prime 4 (yay!). The visuals are great, the soundtrack is a fantastic homage to both the Metroid series and other Sci-Fi themes, the bosses and enemies are really neat, and the story is intriguing. If you haven't played it yet, pick up a copy, especially on Switch; it makes for a great handheld experience.

I decided to give that Friday the 13th game a try today since it is this month's free PSN game. It's okay. I pretty much stuck to the challenges since it's the only thing resembling a story and they are tough. I can not beat the 9th one for shit. I also can only play as Jason from the third game which is kind of annoying because I guess I have to play online to unlock the others. That's dumb. I should be able to play as any version of Jason I want since I'm not playing online.
