Didn't Barber mention that Heralds of Unicron were going to happen?

Something tells me he's alluding to the Victorian combiner team falling under Unicron's control. Poor gals got in way over their heads.

This group cant catch a break. First they barely have any relevance beyond the "Build a Combiner" polls, next they get decapitated in the Prime Wars, now they (might) get turned into Unicron's playthings. I guess Victorion is just new punching bag for the franchise instead of Rodimus Prime.

I don't think they'd rebrand the group. No one else following Unicron has. Monstructor isn't Dinoking, Bludgeon isn't Banzaitron (just going off repaint logic), so I doubt they'll rename them. At most I'd see them giving the group a prefix such as "Dark", "Herald", or "Wraith" or a new name based off Unicron or something demon related.

 

You know else could happen but I really hope doesn't because I really love this character?

Remember when it's shown that the Dire Wraiths and Unicron share the same origin story? What if at one point the Doomsday weapon gave Unicron the ability to control them via a symbiosis. Who else do we know are Dire Wraiths, or Dire Wraith hybrids?

 

I mean, you could pretty easily call how Bludgeon is acting "being a herald" he could have just meant the Maximals

 

Anything about Pyra Magna dying should be canon

So bright side, we’re still getting two finales on Halloween. Down side, the total finale has been pushed back a week.

Man the shit writers will do to try and keep the Robots in Disguise part going. Definitly something I preferred from the Sunbow cartoon.

Shame. On both of them. Writers don't really seem to want to go against the grain on Rodimus too often, and will always go for Optimus overshadowing him. Furman did some interesting short bios for the Rust Renagades I'd love to see expanded at some point, but doubt we will ever see that. But I might end up surprised.

There's so many great characters that could be expanded on for the TF Mythos. Someday I'll have to do my top ten minor characters I've got ideas for.

Yeah. Let's not count our Chickentrons before their protoformed.

Crazy after 13 years its really ending...

 

Not sure its been said yet but I like that this portrayal of Unicron is less Primus' brother and more just a destroyer of Transformers. I know theres some lingering lore that says otherwise but I'm not really fan of the whole "twin evil brother is satan" motif they started years back.

 

Honestly whatever lore was built up in the IDW verse was destroyed in the past 6 months by Shockwave and the final arc of Lost Light. Pretty much all the tales of religion and all powerful beings were shown to be mechanics of time travelers and every day bots with some bonus powers.

 

Which only serves to help distinguish this continuity from the rest.

Finally decided to read this series and boy is this ruthless. And shocking. I’m liking prowl a lot more now and starscream can just fuck off. Aileron and Arcee are stil cute and it’s great and we need figures of them now!
