hi everyone i have an idea for a Beast Wars movie. it borrows elements from Ghosts of Yesterday. The Beast Wars. in the early 90's, a group of S7 scientists built a FTL drive from cybertronian tech and get sent to the alien planet Eukaris there they discover 2 warring factions of robots that take the form of animals, The Maximals and The Predacons. i was thinking that Onyx Prime or Shockwave could be the the one who orchestrated the wars as part of an experiment and both Maximals and Predacons are Cybertronians that crashed landed on the planet. the tone of the film will be reminiscent of Jurassic Park and a few Vietnam war films . the alt modes for the Maximals and Predacons are going to be alien creatures that resemble earth animals but with extra features. what do you think?
Love it a fresh new take I always thought it should be done on another planet as well. I really like the shockwave aspect.
Probably like hearts of steel mixed with Beast Wars and a little FOC if you take elements of those it would be awesome. I've always wanted to make a Transformers film nice to talk ideas with someone.
Hmmm that is a tough one I would definitely bring back Richard Newman and Garry Chalk as well. I do not know about the rest.
i had this scene idea where the Maximals and the Predacons are fighting in the rain that's reminiscent to the T-Rex scene in Jurassic Park.
I have always had an idea of that nature. I envision a series. And in that series there would a Beast Wars Saga or Trilogy. When Megatron would Transformers he would act very similarly to the T-Rex from Jurassic Park like he was letting his inner beast Come out. I hope me or you who knows maybe both of us will accomplish our dreams someday in the very near future.
since the alt modes for the maximals and predacon will be alien animals, i think the beast modes of Rhinox and Optimus Primal would look like this.
I have been fond of Beast Wars being on another Planet. That way they can retain that massive size we love about Transformers. But I also do like the smaller designs to. But this what we are discussing I like more because it is more artistic and more creative freedom.
A Beast Wars movie would be one of the most expensive, visually demanding options Paramount/Hasbro could go with, with little opportunity for product placement. Potentially it could be alienating to the mainstream audience. By historic precedent, I would think they're only going to try something that radical if they think the general public has grown bored with the franchise, but at the same time, are they going to take that kind of financial risk if the movies have lost their appeal? I think it's unlikely to happen any time soon, but who knows. The concept as outlined in the first post is not without merit, although its success would depend on a lot of details that would have to be worked out. I think to get the public on board you would have to start the earth-based portion with a very robust human storyline. And in order for the Beast planet stuff to be as impressive as possible, it might be best to restrict the screen time somewhat. I know that would go against what many fans might hope for, but in terms of practicality, I expect that's the only way to get the studio to consider giving it a go. It'd have a lot of the same challenges as a Cybertron-centric movie. I think if we even get 5 - 10 minutes on another planet in one of these movies, at this point that'll be very exciting.
It's an interesting concept, but man would it be costly. It's one thing for the bots to be transforming into vehicles, which costs a lot to begin with. With animals, unless you seriously cut corners, we'd be looking at a very expensive movie. I do like the idea of them being alien animals with similarities to certain Earth animals, that makes them more distinct. But if I may, maybe another way to handle it would be that the humans are basically first contact for a Maximal society, with no apparent war between them and the Predacons taking place. It's the human's arrival with a functioning FTL drive that triggers the Predacons to war with the Maximals, so that they can claim the drive from the humans and find a way to expand beyond Eukaris. Or maybe they accidentally make a functional space bridge that brings a Predacon to Earth, and end up on Eukaris when they try to send it back. But other than introducing the audience to Eukaris, what purpose do humans serve in this plot?
Well we are just spit balling here and never say never. ( I know none of you said never) but I still believe it will happen just my opinion.
Well i added the Human element since Bumblebee is supposes to have the same tone as Iron Giant and E.T. i was thinking that a Beast Wars film could have the same tone as Jurassic Park or King Kong. I had this idea for a scene where Beast Megatron confronts the Humans in his beast mode and one of the humans said " Don't move! They can only sense motion!" And the Beast Megatron asks them "Now where did you get that ridiculous idea?"
