Meant to share this little fella a while back when I got him. Had to buy a Dark Scream so I could get the foot and sword he was missing. Bummed the seller didn't list anything else after this :/

Haha I've done that for a few of mine too.
Wish I could find just a Takara TM2 Cheetor box now.

Man I'd love to join the prototype club. I missed out on a Classics red Seeker mold but I'm still looking. You guys all have got some great stuff!

    Say what now?

    A RED classics seeker???

    Pics?

Cause' I've never seen one, and any classics seeker collector has been dying for a redwing, even if a proto.

It's actually a prototype of Skywarp and it literally sold on eBay the exact day I decided to check out prototypes for the first time.

Here's the pics of it. The listing is no longer on eBay so I don't even remember for how much it sold for but I could have afforded it. Damn.

Hey I have a question. How are the prototypes compared to the final products? I just want to know if it's a terrible idea to transform them like retail releases. My guess is yes but it may depend from prototype to prototype.

Also, I'm glad I didn't buy that Demolisher headed Onsluaght. I thought about it, but decided against it and now you can enjoy it probably more than I would have.

Hit and miss, just use kids gloves and accept your fate if you do break it.

The red proto skywarp looked awesome, thanks for the pics to finally catch a glimpse.

As for the demolishor head, thanks for not bidding... it's rare enough as it is without having to think about what I should have paid for it.

Good to know. Strangely prototypes are a lot cheaper than I'd thought they'd be. I was expecting thousands of dollars (though some might be worth that) but a couple of hundred? That's not too bad. I mean, it's not great for one figure, but for a one of kind, it makes sense.

Test shots aren't one of a kind though. There's always more than one out there. And if the Beast Wars Grizzly-1 is any example, neither are (some) resins/hard copies apparently.
I feel confident that I've got the only TM2 Dinobot resin proto though lol.

YOU own the Demolisher head? Man I tried so hard to get that when it first showed up, and I haven’t forgotten about it yet! Still we wish had gotten it at some point or someone on Shapeways would make a head.

Yeah, I'm actually surprised at how many there are. I was looking at the FoC Starscream test shot mold, and he keeps popping up on eBay. Unless someone started KO'ing them to look that way?

I think some of those are "lunch time specials." But they don't fire up the machines for just a single figure to come out of it.
There's quite a few MP Cheetor protos out there .

For the size and assumption of being lunchtimes, I wouldn't pay more than a Benjamin for all 3... if I really wanted them.
