Erebus had to be more, quite a bit more. They didn't do all these regional allocation for Erebus i.e. 200 for NA, 100 in HK, etc kind of crap. You could buy from any retailer.
In fact I am betting Erebus wasn't that far off from Thunder Manus in terms of final numbers. The reason why Maketoys hasn't released this is obviously so that you'll double dip on the core figure and get this armor stuff as a bonus.

Power Full Figures "Shadow Of Silver" upgrade set-

Done with almost all the bits except for the crotch plate and the joint that connects the rocket launcher to the body. I've got a lot of neat little extras I'm adding in too, but for now, here's a quick screenshot of the chest plate. ;)

For anyone still looking to pick this one up, Maketoys actually has it in stock on their own site: Thunder Erberus

As of now, they have 13 left (assuming their "add to cart" feature is an indicator of stock. It decreased by one after I completed my own order). Shipping was fairly quick too. Took about a week from the time I placed my order to when I received it today. Though, there was no padding material in the box. It still arrived in good shape, and I don't care about a mint box, but they really should pack better.

So glad I got a second shot at this one. I love Thunder Manus, but there's just something about the black and red that appeals to me more.

After weeks of hemming and hawing, I finally pulled the trigger on this guy.

It's worth noting that the shipping options on Thunder Erebus are different than the other figures sold through the Maketoys shop. Their $16.95 flat shipping isn't available if he's the only figure in your cart; you either need to buy Erebus with something else, or opt for one of their three "premium" shipping options: (The Hover/Bomber Set, the Armageddon Add-on for Energon Omega Supreme or the Battle Sentinel add-on for CHUG G2 Prime).

The good news is that these "premium" options are cheaper with Erebus in your cart. I ended up having to buy this guy with Hover and Bomber, but it only cost me $4 more than the flat shipping would have been.

    Not mad....just confused.

They probably know how stupid popular he is and see it as a chance to move some stale stock and make, literally, a few bucks off of it.

Hmm, I'm sorry, I hadn't thought to mention the shipping options. When I stumbled upon him, I was actually just going to their site to get the replacement parts for Chromedome and Hardhead, which are free but have a $6 shipping fee. So... I ended up only paying $6 to ship Erebus with them. Odd how those options stack and override one another, it seems.

P.S. Please everyone, don't go ordering replacement parts just to get cheap shipping. Surely, their supply of parts is limited. Think of all the unfortunate Chromedomes out there in need of new feet, or all the Hardheads in need of new ears that plug securely into the sides of their heads! :D

I went ahead and got a replacement Inferno skirt to lock in the lower shipping rate since I have that figure.

In the limited time I've had to mess with him, I'm feeling we've got a bit of an abusive relationship going on.

He's an absolute stunner in robot mode. Moreso in real life than in pics, if that's even possible. We all know his posability is tops. Alt mode clearly wasn't the design priority, but it's serviceable.

But I swear, this guy was put on earth to torture people with OCD. So many flaps that *almost* tab into their slots correctly, and then pop out ever so slightly. If you're a person that's ok with getting something 90% of the way there, so long as it looks passable, you'll be ok. If you actually need a figure's peg/tab connections to click together the way the designers clearly intended, you will slowly go mad.

Has anyone worked out a fix to keep his combined form head/shoulder bits from popping out whenever the wind blows?

I have zero issues with any of the tab/slot connections on mine. They're just very sensitive to alignment, so if things aren't staying in place, you've probably got a joint that isn't quite squared up somehow.

The head/shoulder panel alignment is tied to how the cab portion is seated. If the platform won't stay down, then the cab isn't pushed in all the way. Even a fraction of a millimeter causes noticeable interference.

    So you've got this gap...
    IMG_20180928_232556.jpg

What I find works best is this.

Circled is the double joint his head/neck plate is on.

    IMG_20180928_232653.jpg

I bend the top part of the joint first, and it looks like this.
    IMG_20180928_232758.jpg

Then I bend it at the lower part of the joint so it looks like this.
    IMG_20180928_232827.jpg

Then I push here, but not too hard.
    IMG_20180928_232955.jpg

You want a bit of an upward angle on the joint
    IMG_20180928_234155.jpg

If done correctly (does take a bit of fiddling to get it the first time) you'll have no gap.

    IMG_20180928_233010.jpg

If you push too hard, it looks like this, with a downward angle on the joint, and it causes the front to lift.
    IMG_20180928_234210.jpg

    Hope this helps.

I just wanted to echo mx-01 Archon: any gap issues I had with the gap you are pointing out was due to the cab portion being transformed incorrectly. Once I watched a tranformation video online, everthing fit just fine.

There was a small "prototype" run of black devine armour that was given to a select few people as a gift from MT. MT stated that there WAS NOT going to be a full release of the black armour. I hope those plans have changed though.
