I'm going to go out on a limb and speculate that Black Zarak was the original use of the Scorponok Titan Master that was included with Grotusque. Hasbro probably changed their plans when the Firepower and Inteligence box-sets were canceled. Similarly, Snapdragon was probably a canceled Titan-master, as we already got Apeface before him.

A Carivac decoy armor is probably going to surface in an exclusive, alongside the final three Prime Masters. I wouldn't be surprised if we also get Flywheels Duocons in a Walgreen exclusive two-pack, assuming they don't want to delay them to the next line. That leaves only Huffer, Deathsaurus, and Landcross. I'm guessing the first two were meant for additional waves of Power of the Primes - I've long speculated that Deathsaurus was the intended retool of Grimlock, and Huffer would make sense in the same line that gave us a more G1 accurate Windcharger. I think the latter toy could plausibly be moved to the next line, as G1 Huffer's alternate mode looks suitably cybertronian despite attempting to represent an earth vehicle. Deathsaurus is probably canned, sadly.

Landcross is the real puzzler. A three bot combiner just doesn't make sense in Power of the Primes. Perhaps he was mean to be another titanmaster? Maybe for an exclusive box set? Or maybe Hasbro was planning to make him into a full scramble-city combiner, with two additional limbs made up from scratch? Who knows.

 

Landcross was a six-foot team. You're thinking of Road Ceasar. LC makes sense. He could be a retool of the Duocons. We have two of a potential six already.

 

Technically, the guy probably slipped in Dezaras since he was going to be in the Prime Vote. The guy probably thought he would be the winner.

As for Huffer, I could say a Legends exclusive.

Flywheels? They wouldn't do a second Skytread. Unless a Crash Combiner/Duocon Legends exclusive two pack. Skyjack? Skywarp? Skyfall? Heavytread?

Snapdragon must have been a cancelled TR Overboard remold.

Black Zarak? Black Scorponok. Probably just Titan Master Scorponok that came in the TRU set with Fengul w/Grotesque.

Landcross? Possibly like Centuritron in Generations. Triple combiner. Exclusive perhaps? Technically Motorvator of Flame, Lightspeed, and Gripper.

Carnivac? Must be an exclusive Prime Master shell. Though for Prima, Nexus Prime, Amalgamous Prime, or Onyx Prime?

 

Cosmos and a redone Windcharger (remember, when this came out Combiner Wars Windcharger had been released VERY recently) alone ought to be enough to confirm that this was all legit. The missing items i'd chalk up to the 2nd set of boxsets getting canceled, TR and PotP both getting truncated schedules and the old adage that 'plans change", especially when you get very early info.

 

I don`t know how any one could call this list FAKE , hell this list came out right along side TR and immediately said we would be getting PREDAKING,ABOMINUS ..The clones ect ...now over a year later here we are , and were getting PREDAKING ,ABOMINUS Ect...Lol... In no way is this list fake...there were no rumors about hardly any thing on that list... And that list is all over the place too... Perceptor , Tidalwave ...it goes on and on ... On another note, Dinobot could have been Tryptacon , I think his name translates in to some thing like Dinosaurer ..? not sure..But I had heard some thing about it. My mane focus is LANDCROSS . Now that we know POTP is shutting down early , It makes sense to get him in a bot set , or as sets of voyagers ect ...I just know we have 2 Voyager slots open for Wave 4 of POTP Voyager line... Too, Hasbro said that the line wasn`t over , even after Wave 4 , they said that their were going to be exclusives , as well as other surprizes...I`m thinking MONSTRUCTOR and ( maybe ) LANDCROSS ... heak , We`ve even seen tooling for DINOKING on Snarl , so who knows what that means , and were it`s going ...Looks a lot like VICTORY to me  

 

Just following up on this leak, went hunting for the original thread based on the reveal of the Big Powered LG-EX reveal, to see if Dai Atlas was on the original list.
He wasn't but lo and behold Siege is giving us Flywheels to go with Battletrap, and at the time this list was being released Hastak were already in the early stages of planning WFC Siege, and probably quite deep in development of POTP. Carnivac was probably a potential Redeco of TR Weirdwolf, note: Krok isn't on the list because there are always last minute changes. do I think Carnivac is still on the cards? YES. I can see another shot at pretenders. (perhaps head/titan/primemaster bots packaged with Decoy shells, allowing those molds to be reused and paired with deluxes) Snapdragon was obviously not planned for TR, maybe as titanmaster but I'm also guessing they knew they would revisit headmasters at a later point. Black Zarack was - like said above - a potential Titan master, since Skorponok was obviously a long way off in titan class and probably wasn't going to see a toy at any other scale, although I wouldn't rule out seeing a titan Skorponok in a few years hence with a BZ pretool. They were definitely expecting Dezarus to win the POTP leader poll, and he certainly had a design prepped, (as did all the other candidates) and I'm sure we'll see another attempt soon.

Landcross was so Leftfield, that it seemed one of the more "designers spitballing" factors that makes me believe it was legitimate. it seems like when they looked at doing Battletrap and Flywheels (and according to warden Battletrap was "split up" to add decepticon balance to the Legends assortment of POTP, he was a preview of stuff coming down the line) they thought about the two-legends-one-deluxe gimmick and thought Multiforce and Landcross. and since we aren't getting legends for a while due to Micromasters, packaging them in pairs at deluxe is a good way to get the figures out. I think I would DIE OF EXCITEMENT if they did Rack'n'Ruin like that.
