    Imagine telling someone 10 years ago we'd be getting Classics versions of Dai Atlas, Sonic Bomber, and Road Fire, and having them combine. Maybe it'll be released late enough to come with their Micromasters too :p

    This is unexpected and exciting, classic TakaraTomy. I really wish they weren't just relegated to Masterpiece and select exclusives, but we'll see how things progress.

    Just when you thought you couldn't be surprised no more...! Good job Takara! I'm looking forward to robot modes and painted prototypes. Not sure I'm in the market for these, but its still really nice to see Tak dipping into the tail end of G1.

    They would have appeared in more fiction if geewhiners hadn't bullied Hasbro into having their writers only write stories about Optimus guy and his bland buddies all the time.

    I know this isn't exactly what you mean but a part of me thinks you mean a bunch of kids flew over to Japan in 1990 to demand that takara stop making Zone after one episode so that a few years later the g2 reruns could happen.

    But for real Zone was/is kinda shit and that one failed episode kinda makes it hard to justify making toys of an unpopular character.
