hey guys, excuse me for being mostly a lurker and if this has all been covered already, but i figured this was good enough to share. i was able to sweet talk the person running the toy area today into going in the back to grab me a devi, so don't try running out to grab one after reading this. unless your charisma skill is +99  

otherwise, the way it was explained to me by a friend that works for walmart and what i've learned from talking to other employees is that yes, as the app/website says, these guys are in stock. those that have them will have 6-8 in stock. however they are not ready, technically, to be sold. although some have gone early, and others continue to do so, the general consensus is that we should see them on shelves officially by saturday, as that is when walmarts fiscal week 36 (mod 36) starts. between wednesday and saturday, they will be "updating modules" (basically the layout of the shelves). probably the last update for until Christmas.

I attached my photo. i blocked out any info that might ID the store, just in case, as i dont want anyone in possible trouble. Also, this is in the Houston area.

Hi Maz can i ask you if this reissue tends to lean forward like the encore reissues did (in my experience at least ...)?

Got denied Starscream this morning at a Walmart store. There as weasel in a cart and asked an employee then and older employee told the other I couldn’t go through the boxes. Said fuck it and walked off.

Do you mean Devastator is 4 per case? Because that would be correct. Stores in the Houston area have been getting 8 Devastators (2 cases) per store.

yea. we're only getting 4 devys to a store here. just picked up g1 starscream and the stickers seem more sticky than the crap i get off ebay. also picked up legion class beetle bumblebee from the bumblebee movie line for $5. they had 1 step changers or whatever from that line as well.

This Walmart has had a dubious history of sucking most of their stuff in the back room if there is no room for it.

 

To be honest, the words Weasel and Starscream go hand in hand.

 

Because traffic was so bad this morning and I wasn't going anywhere, I decided to make a quick pit stop at the local Walmart that's right off the freeway. They had 2 Starscreams and 3 Hot Rod figures. I got one of each. I didn't know how expensive these damn things were! Hot Rod is $29.84 and StarScream is $34.76. With Cashafornia tax, it came to over $70!!

There were a couple of stockers, so I inquired about Devastator, and the guy said, "Oh, a guy JUST walked off with the last one about a couple of minutes ago."   My mind immediately started racing and making "what if" time scenario calculations. What if I left the house a little earlier... What if I woke up a little earlier... What if I didn't stop to make up the bed... What if I didn't have to take a dump... I then came to the conclusion that if I didn't eat that spicy Thai food the day before, I would have Devastator in hand.

 

but that $74 price tag

 

Which is cheaper than the last 3 Devastator reissues.

 

yea. it's a great price. i love walmart. it would be twice as much if it were tru or target. walmart actually cares about poor people.
