It's Starscream, the design is so painfully obvious that it's Starscream. The movie and director can call him whatever it wants too, it's still obviously Starscream. You'll never win this 'argument' so I suggest you give it a rest. Stop lashing out at people for thinking.

 

Those Seekers are different colours and have different weapons. One is even a pseudo-Conehead. And that red-and-white one? Starscream. Travis Knight said it himself.

All this "is he Blitzwing or Starscream" pre-movie-release debate/argument reminds me of...

 

Aww, I remember the days when people used to argue about which character this or that was because the bots were too indistinguishable to tell apart until an official character image with the name boldly stamped on it got released.

Thems were the good ol' days...

 

There is a pretty solid chance we will NEVER find out the true identity of whomever this "jet" character is.

 

Why are yall arguing over Blitzwing being Starscream? We should be asking if the Bumblebee movie Dropkick is related to the Decepticon drone from the first movie.

 

Where did Travis Knight confirm that the Seeker on Cybertron is Starscream? If that happened, it must have gotten lost in the commotion.

I actually agree with you fully. I’m leaning on thinking this COULD be Starscream. It was intended to be Starscream you can tell. It’s all there.

Was probably originally meant to be Blitzwing but changed it due to too many triple changers so they made it Starscream last minute.

Bumblebee Trailer Breakdown With Director Travis Knight

 

Ah, well that's not a direct quote from Travis Knight; the only robots he specifically mentions are "Shockwave and Soundwave and Ravage and Wheeljack". The part that mentions Starscream, is just a summary by the journalist which also says we'll see Blitzwing in his G1 form, which we may do but then why change him to look like a different character when he's on Earth? The same article also says the animated movie was in 1983, so I'm not going to take anything that's not a direct quote too seriously.

So while the seeker on Cybertron may be Starscream, TCJJ's whole argument is that the Blitzwing we see on Earth in Starscream, even though everything else says he's Blitzwing, including toy listings. I know that Prime-1 tagged the image with Starscream, but they tagged it with Blitzwing too, so I'm not sure that really proves anything.

I haven't found anything that says Travis Knight confirmed it was Starscream before saying it's Blitzwing at SDCC, as TCJJ has mentioned, though.
