So Soundwave, Shockwave, and Cliffjumper are confirmed to appear in the film! It’s noted they appear during the opening Cybertron scene, though I personally think it’s possible they could also appear later in the film as well.

I want blaster. It should make sense cause the movie takes place in the 80's, and he won't feel dated.

 

Where are people getting 'confirmed' from for all these characters. The only characters that have been confirmed officially are Bumblebee, Blitzwing, Shatter and Dropkick. Optimus was seen in the SDCC footage so he's all but confirmed, but the rest are still just rumours.

Hot Rod and Barricade have toys but that's as much as we know (check the 'interview' with Jess Harnell, he doesn't even state that he's doing voice work for the movie, let alone playing Barricade). As for the bots on Cybertron, well I guess anything is possible, but given how Blitzwing isn't G1 Starscream, I doubt Soundwave and Shockwave would look 'exactly' like their G1 selves. Even Bumblebee is more recognisable as the Bay design that G1. A report saying 'we can confirm' isn't an official confirmation.

You know what’s a bit of a disappointment? Casting John Cena and not having him voice Mirage. So here’s me crossing my fingers in hopes that Mirage shows up in the film and that Cena pulls double duty.

 

I've been hoping that since Day 1. And to see Mirage do the hand motion as he disappears would be perfect.
