They took the video down? Is there a problem? Christmas season is just around the corner. Eventually, the toy will be released anyway.
Haven\'t they realized the video review is also giving them a favor of promoting the film and the merchandise for FREE?

I had high hopes for this figure, but after seeing how rushed and premature it turned out, I'm mainly annoyed that it took up a spot in the line, and now we'll just be waiting longer for characters like Jazz and Sideswipe.

The guy got the sample from Hasbro Taiwan. Hasbro for some reason wanted him to delay the upload date in the very last minute when he just finished uploading.

This comparison makes me sad. Someday this epic design will truly be realized.

I'm going to disagree. The leader has the more accurate arms. That's why the MPM gets so much flak. They changed a design when all it really needed was refining.

I agree that I too hope a third or fourth party takes a stab at VW Bee. Just not UT. Beetle Bee is round and compact. Those are two things that UT doesn't do.

Take another look at the mold sculpting above the elbow. MPM does a great job nailing the details of the CGI. The only thing APS does better is less intrusive forearm kibble. APS moves all of the forearm kibble to one side while MPM has the kibble wrapped around most of the forearm. Neither design gets the forearms right as you would have to saw off the kibble panel and fill in that weird 5mm hole above the wrist to get a decent forearm out of APS. If we are being 100% honest though, the shoulder assembly has to be completely redone as the CGI uses some kind of complex joint instead of the short cut red capped shoulder APS and MPM use.

Either way though, MPM has a better arm from the elbow up while neither got the forearms right.

Not even after seeing how UT's Challenger handled Knight Prime? They got a very compact and streamline bot out of a bloated truck.

I agree that the MPM got his upper arms right outside of the shoulder armor. The leader does get.the firearms right though. The details are there. They just aren't painted.

Challenger is impressive, but he's blocky in both modes. He also has awkward joints that are either ugly (see elbows) or restricted in their movements (see his knees and ankles). His face sculpt is also ok at best. I will say that he's the best knight Prime that we have now. The upcoming Toyworld version seems to give us another option to choose which version bothers you less (or impresses you more).

It's more about posting a review, before the actual official announcement from Hasbro.

Honestly, without Hasbro, this line would not get only better, but PROPERLY handled. (well, if takara can make them at the same time)

BUT, i'd like better just 1 fully "made-by-takara" MPM figure than 4 MpMs toys with Hasbro involved, probably that one would be mind-blowing and we wouldn't have the 100000 KOs of MPMs already in the market. (ehem mpm4)

Please Hasbro, give Takara the full line and hasbro asia (where they ACTUALLY SELL THEM), i'm tired of waiting "official information" regarding your figures BECAUSE YOU DON'T GIVE US ANY SIGNAL OF LIFE, like if it never existed. Remember how Barricade or bee were released? with barely any information where we could find them, or how they actually cost.

    /Rant off

Regardless, i hope they don't get the same mistakes again.

there are thousands of ko's of mp10, so that wouldn't help at all. also, considering takara designers also work on the mpm's, they would still have come out about the same way, just more expensive with import costs. also have you seen what takara is doing with the normal mp line? they are making figures cost $200+ that should not cost that much. this bee would have cost around $140 in their hands from what i've seen. takara knows people will buy it no matter what price, thus jacking it up, hasbro at least seems to control that urge to overprice everything. also hasbro has the cad files, so takara probably would have had issues there, tho not completely sure there.

I do agree the TT mps have had enormous hikes in prices.

But i would pay 400$ for the new MP G1 Optimus than buying 4 Optimus MPMs of 100$, as long as the engeenering, complexity, amount of accessories, is guranteed by the price.

So yes, i would buy an accurate MPM Bee for 140$ instead of a cheaper one with worse design.

Actually.....some of the MPM's are said to have been made in Vietnam. It's possible that the regular MP line is mostly produced in China. If so, this would be reflected in price as MPM's have been on the cheaper end while regular MP's have been going higher in price. I haven't heard anything concrete.

Labor in China costs more though.

In addition, whatever CAD files Hasbro has is accessible to Takara. If you're referring to the CAD files for the toys, it's actually more likely IMO for Takara to create said files instead of Hasbro.

Personally I wouldn’t, as I just can’t buy something that size for the price of a titan class figure. But I can still see that view point. Still, this is probably the only real hiccup we’ll see with this line , and at least it’s close enough that it’s not as distracting to see in the line as a mainline toy next to the others . I just hope we get a mpm decepticon from the bumblebee movie at some point. The designs look pretty dam good...

I'm worried about that. Those designs look amazing but I don't think triple changers are possible with either the MP or MPM lines at the moment without compromises.

If we get a "shortcut" of only a single alt mode, I hope Dropkick and Shatter get muscle car MPMs to go with Barricade.

Man, your making me want mpm's of them all the more.... and yeah muscle car modes should be the way to go, since triple changers are impossible to pull off with real world looking vehicles.

I'm actually surprised it took 6 movies to get a muscle car duo. Those two just look so damn good. Say what you will about the live action movies, Cons wear muscle better than Bots.
