Not only the tail but the whole figure.
Look at those Scoria robot back parts on the back of the dino.
The wings that closes on the chest is 100% Scoria wings.
And not to mention the potato form of Slug ( Slag ) is all Scoria.
I've even checked all the others, they are using all Fanstoys designs except for Grimlock they are using their own masterpiece version.
I wouldn't use Grinder too, because Grinder is so ugly fat.
Look at Snarls dino neck is exact fanstoys Severs neck.
The same goes for Sludge ( Stomp ). And look at his dino feets, exact Stomps feets.
Look at Swoops dino feets, splits in half like Soar and even has those hooks on them.
And he has Soars dino neck. G1 Swoop didn't had a neck.
Did Hasbro and Fanstoys come to an agreement?
Will Fanstoys toys be licensed in the future?
I hope not, because they are already expensive and i don't wanna pay the Hasbro profits on top of that.

I could have made a whole new topic about this.

Just when i thought i have the cartoon accurate Cesium and this comes.
Should i get Scoria now, lol.

This is Scoria alright. Because his dino headpieces goes to the back like that. IMG_2107.JPG

I’d really have to watch this episode, pray tell which one it is?

Well, you could have both 1984 and 2018 toon accurate figures. :D

Ep 2 to ep 4 they encounter dino's.
Ep 4 you can see very clearly.
There's one ep that Slag ( slug ) transforms into robot mode, i have to rewatch that one to see if it's really is Scoria in robot mode or not, i think it was ep 4 too.

One more observation to add to the list.
Look at Snarl's back legs. You can see the panels that flip around and form Sever's bot arms.

So, is Scoria discontinued for good, with Cesium replacing him, or are there plans for a re-release?

Not sure if I want to go with Cesium or wait for Scoria to come back.

The big question is if Cesium is up to snuff to fit in with the other Dinobots.

I have had both and feel that Scoria fits in with the other dibots better.

I got Scoria when he came out and always liked him, never saw any point in a replacement.

I haven't looked, but I'd have thought that the folks who did go for Curium would have wanted to move their Scorias on, and that therefore there would be a decent number of Scorias on the secondary market?

Scoria has been resissued already so the chance is really slim.

You never know. FT might take a third run at things, but yes, I would guess this would not be anytime soon.

I’m a little confused with fanstoys and perfect fusion
I haven’t bought any of the 3p masterpiece Dino’s but what’s the difference between fanstoys scoria and the perfect fusion slag
I heard somewhere they are the same or perfect fusion is a split off of fanstoys
    Can someone explain?
    Thanks

Seeing all these pics generates a little regret over selling Scoria, Stomp, Sever and Soar. They're still fabulous pieces.

Perfect Fusion was a sub-brand of Fans Toys, set up to build less expensive masterpiece toys. Perfect Fusion's Cesium is a different take on Slag than Fans Toys Scoria; it has more curves, is quite a bit taller, has a lower parts count and an updated aesthetic. It is effectively Fans Toys taking a second shot at Slag with different goals in mind. It still fits in with the rest of the Fans Toys dinos, but is considered by some to be too tall.

Perfect Fusion as a sub-brand seems to have died out: originally they were making Quietus (Cyclonus), but that's been swapped over to the Fans Toys brand now.

Thanks that clears up a lot
I wish perfect fusion was around long enough for them to get to perceptor. That would’ve been great

Does anyone have blue eyes for the dino-mode that they're willing to part with?

If you want a simple swap, you should look for an entire blue-eyed head. But if you're dead set on disassembling the head anyway, just pull out the current eyes and hit them with some gloss metallic blue nail polish or foil tape or whatever.

Were the shoulder replacement part kits (ratcheting) included with any of the subsequent Dibots?

Nope. I think you had to request for them from FT directly.

Nope. My Scoria-X shoulder failed a few months back. Couldn't find any of the replacement parts online so I reached out to Dalianjj about 3-4 months ago.

Fortunately, he found a few left over parts and was able to ship me a set. Happy to report that scoria's shoulder is back in tip top form.

I'd suggest you reach out to FT if your having the same issue. They're CS is nothing short of spectacular and if they have the parts, they'll definitely help you out.
