I have completed my Protectobots and Aerialbots including their 6th (7th including legends) members. At present I'm using Rook and Alpha Bravo as limbs for Sky Reign. I was looking at some reprolables sets and wondering if there were any particular obscure characters or conversions that I could consider as ways to complete Sky Reign.

I also want to find a way to use offroad on a new decepticon combiner but the only decepticon torsos without a dedicated team are cyclonus and starscream, and I don't want to use them.

 

Isn't smokescreen a member of sky reign?

 

Maybe for Sky Reign you can use some of the G2 limbs and repurpose them as new characters. And there aren't really any other Decepticon combiner torsos other then Deszaras, unless you want to repurpose a G2 one or customize one.

 

Wheeljack, Trailbreaker and Hound are members of Sky Reign too.

 

We'll I'm using takara's sky reign with smokescreen instead if ratchet for my main, then G2 firefly, quickslinger, with plans of deluxe wreck gar and my custom from a spare groove as "lynx knight" (since it has liokaiser's faceplate)

Technically, ratchet, groove and wreck gar are as well, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

 

I use 2 Air Raids and 2 SkyDives as limbs for Sky Reign. Another option would be to use the G2 Superion limbs; the HFGs are an exact color match for Sky Lynx. Any of the CW jets or helicopter variations would work especially Alpha Bravo. Sky Reign rules the skies, so I skipped the vehicle limbs.

 

G2 Superion Limbs is a nice shout, but I guess what I'm looking for is characters to repurpose them as, maybe get some replacement heads etc. The fact that the HFG match is colour scheme is nice But I put perfect effect kits on all my combiners so in the end that won't matter much to me.

 

I went with Prowl and Rook for the legs and Mirage and Ironhide as the arms. It gives SkyReign a more united color scheme.

Had an extra Alpha Bravo and Rook after completing both Superions with Quickslinger and one Defensor with Deluxe Groove.

I think that their color schemes work better with Sky Lynx than Trailbreaker and Hound. Wheeljack and Smokescreen were kept because they fit in fine with the look that I wanted. I wanted Alpha Bravo in Sky Reign since Sky Lynx is a space shuttle, and I felt like he shouldn't be the only aircraft. Both Alpha Bravo and Rook make solid arms, IMHO. YMMV, of course.

 

Since I never got one of the voyager Optimus Primes from CW, I just donated the Optimus Maximus limbs to him.

 

canonically the Sky Reign/Lynx Master limbs are Hound, Trailbreaker, Wheeljack and Smokescreen/Ratchet
i gave my Sky Reign limbs to potp Inferno, since it makes more sense for an 84 bot torso to combine with 84 bot limbs.
Alpha Bravo, Rook, Jazz, and SG Starscream are stuck onto my Battlecore Optimus, forming Caucasian Convoy (regular deco optimus is wearing the OP maximus limbs)

my Sky Lynx isnt currently combined with anyone. i want to enjoy him as Sky Lynx.

I'm not asking who the members of sky reign ARE, I know who both hasbro and Takara have decided to team with Skylynx, I'm not interested in any of those toys unless I can repurpose them/mod them as someone NEW, that doesn't have a toy, I was hoping for suggestions of obscure characters that would be possible out of the existing molds.

How about sideswipe out of the sunstreaker mold.

 

Sideswipe has a toy, I own the Universe one, I might buy the Seige one, depending on how I feel.

Any good ideas for characters to repurpose them as? they look fantastic on SkyLynx, I'll have to investigate shapewars for potential compatible heads.

 

Maybe there are some G1 Micromasters that they look like. And maybe there are some heads for them on Shapeways.

 

If I had the money I would order four Golden Lagoon Starscreams to bling out Sky Reign for the win, (and another four for POTP Starscream, and three more to display as Starscream, Thundercracker, and SkyWarp, and one more to keep misb mode  ).

Just call them money-money drones and rename him Gold Reign, or Golden Shower  

Fitting for Sky Lynx's G1 personality to shine?

 

Sweet idea. When I replace my G2 CW Superion with Unite Warriors Superion, Ill do that with Sky Lynx.

supposedly wreckgar was the legend of the team, but no way to attach/use him like powerglide with superion or legend size groove on defensor (whom wreckgar was a redeco of). Just as well, as he didnt get dumped on tj maxx/marshalls the way the rest of the team was.
