nope, I think the pic pre-modification was the engine room of the Enterprise from the Abhrams verse though. I only saw about 15 minutes of Discovery, it was intreaging but not enough for me to get a subscription to the ap just to watch it. After it's on DVD, I may get it after it goes down in price significantly though

I've read that fossilized vertebrae have been discovered with partially healed puncture-wounds from Tyrannosaurus teeth. Can animals heal after they die, then? Carrion eater my coprolites....

Do not waste your time if you liked The real Startrek (not Abrahams Powerranger teens in space version of it) Discovery is a horrible rape of what Rodenberry made.

    On topic..
Any news on when I can order my SS Sideswipe,Barricade and Bee-tle?

Should Blitzwing get a Leader class figure I wonder if he'll be the first ever movie triple changer to actually BE a triple changer in toy form? The other triple changer characters like Drift,Shatter and Dropkick all have toys that have only one of their alt modes so I wonder if Blitzwing being a leader class figure will actually allow him to be one?

I don't think we're getting any triple changers from BB the movie.. my reasoning, dropkick has a helicopter deluxe and a one-step sized car. another has just been revealed in the form of shatter. i think each individual alt-mode will be represented by a single toy. but maybe theyll prove me wrong. hasbro just seems so hell-bent on beating the 3rd party companies, pushing out more and more of these simplified products. i feel hastaks engineering and design is going to be cut short because of it.

Seems unlikely. Which 'Cons get Studio versions seems based on whether they have some significance and how good their previous toys were. Brawl was in the the Very First Movie, fans have wanted a Leader Blackout for years, Crowbar got to be in the 'Mexican standoff' scene in DOTM, Megatron's Revenge body doesn't have many, if any, other good toys, etc.

Sideways most defining feature was getting cut in half by Side Swipe.

Shatter and Dropkick are getting two Energon Igniters each, one car and one aircraft (the aircraft are coded as '1' after the codenames, the cars with '2'). I'd be surprised if they don't eventually do both modes for each triple changer in Studio Series, though obviously in separate figures. There's no way they could do triple changing toys at the deluxe price point; it would require more parts and extra paint and more complex engineering, which would probably result in a voyager priced deluxe.

I doubt it. They didn't wait for final designs of Bumblebee, and we know of two Shatter figures already. All of the Studio Series and Bumblebee figures were probably in development over a year ago, especially as they were originally aiming to release the Bumblebee characters in spring ready for a summer release of the movie. If they waited for the final designs, it would possibly another year before they'd get them out.

Hopefully something will show up in Studio Series wave 6 and beyond. Seems like there's roughly four waves this years so it may well be the same next year. I was expecting a couple of full waves of Bumblebee movie characters, but it looks like they're dropping them in slowly.

It could be a shorter leader, like Blackout, and I think that would work. The inevitable smaller than leader size might be a turn-off, but the increased parts count and engineering would balance the price.

If we're talking about them being deluxes that's true but Voyager and Leader sized ones are a different story because that will allow more parts and engineering will make it more possible for them especially for Blitzwing.

Exactly. Blitzwing has the highest chances of having his toy be an actual triple changer due to him being larger then the other characters.

I dunno, I get the feeling he won't be that big, maybe just as big as Brawl or Nitro Zeus, so I can't see a figure of that size getting a leader class figure, despite the extra engineering and parts etc. He might get a three mode voyager, though that would mean a simpler transformation between each mode, so maybe like an upscaled deluxe as far as complexity goes, but voyager sized and parts count.

Yeah I'm still hoping for other SS figures but we have seen wave 3,4,5 so I don't think we'll see anything new soon

I'm guessing they're still holding a voyager or two up their sleeves (crosses fingers for Bonecrusher).
