Even though that Amazon listing only leaked deluxes and leaders. I hope there are also some voyagers hidden, waiting to be discovered.

IIRC there was a Voyager Bonecrusher and DOTM Prime listing for wave 5. We could always hope for more Voyager reveals in early 2019

    1. I am pretty sure the bodies were almost 100 percent identical from below the head.

    2. Can't you just remove the dreads from the figure?

    3. I am using alcohol and it sucks. I can't wipe away the paint in some of the crevices and if it wipes off goes in other areas and can't be wiped off. I don't customize or modify figures so this is a first for me. Quite frankly, I should not have to. I would rather pay for the correct pieces than waste my time. That is just my reasoning and I understand that I am probably the only one that wants this. Maybe that is just the norm for Hasbro and it wrong for me to expect something simple done right. I have not bought Transformers since 2009. I like the SS because it focuses on accuracy and not including childish gimmicks, but if they continue to pull this crap on me I will consider selling the entire line.

    4. I want them to change it, but I do not want them harassed. Call them out, but do not name call or give death threats.

As infuriating as I find it that Hasbro decided to make Crankcase a repaint of the wrong mold (especially since the entire point of the studio series line is accuracy and scale). It does kind of help that they're making the crowbar mold extremely available since I plan on troop building some custom decepticon protoforms from that mold.

No actually the bodies were quite different. Thats why the molds were quite different based on the CGI renders. The most notable differences besides the length of the dreads was Crankcases shoulder blades and the faces. You would have to do a lot of DVD pausing and studying still shots to see the difference, but trust me its there. Again, both molds toys were based of of the CGI renders. Berserker was also based off of the Crankcase CGI render, but using the red "X" from the original dreads concept art. While I can understand your frustration with having to remove the X yourself, buying a 2nd Berserker is way cheaper than buying a new studio series Crankcase. (Just saying) All they did to make him "Berserker" was add the red X, so take that s**t off and you got Crankcase...problem solved at an affordable price too. Make sure you use 90% alcohol not 70% that paint will come right off no issues. Remove the limbs so you dont risk damaging other painted areas. And just for the record, I never suggested making "death threats" to the people who designed this new crappy studio series "Crow-Case" as I think he should be called. If I knew the designers name, I wouldnt be opposed to calling him out in a respectful manner but I dont know his name lol.

Wrong, there is one other important difference between crankcase and berserker. Crankcase has gold hair (and lacks the red highlights on the arms but I can overlook that).

Use a toothbrush to get the paint out of the deeper crevices. Works like a charm. (with alcohol obviously)

If you call this gold then yes you are correct. Although its subjective to really say if Berserkers dreads were gold or not in the short scene we saw of him. But considering Berserkers hair on the toy is unpainted, I can live with Crankcases hair being unpainted as well. Get rid of the red X and im good. If Hasbro wont get it right, at least making it right wont be a costly endeavor or make it look too much like a hand painted custom. Dotm-crankcase-film-standoff.jpg Berserker-1_TLK.png

People seem to put so much energy on a drone. Guess that's why Michael Bay didn't even bother to write any actual characters.

Yea I once saw the plans years out before DOTM even came out. Bumblebee might turn out to be a reboot with the changes made during the reshoots.

TF7 is up in the air. If BB isn't successful kiss it goodbye.

Is it me or does WWII BB have chicken legs?

Agreed, what I found utterly bonkers was this little gem
Generations and Studio do a great job of appealing to older fans but to go as far as to say that the majority of customers who buy them are in fact adults as oppose to children who are just looking for other toys to fit with what ever established play pattern or gimmick HasTak has hooked them on? Why even bother with making everything compatible with what ever new buzz word they have for gestalt limbs/minicons/headmasters/etc if the only thing that mattered was the history behind the character? If the adult collector is already a fan of the character, why even bother with an additional toy gimmick?

Oh that is right, it is because the figure isn't being made for the adult collector. If HasTak wanted to explicitly cater to the grown adult who has fond memories of a character from their childhood, you'd either see a straight reissue of the dated toy in question or a MP/MPM. HasTak wouldn't need to "sweeten the deal" with a new toy gimmick.

Ahhhh...the wonderful gimmick. (The burden of TF collectors) In the generations line these days, I really dont consider combining or headmasters a "gimmick" because of the homage value from the G1 toys/cartoon. Back in the 80s as I kid I didnt even realize these were "gimmicks" because to me the gimmick was always a vehicle that transforms into a robot. Foward to modern times, when POTP came out I did notice on these boards that there was some hate among younger collectors who were mad the "gimmick" was not actually part of the figures and could be thrown in a parts box without affecting the transformation. Needless to say having gimmick free deluxe figures had most of us older collectors celebrating. Reserving integrated gimmicks to only the leader class figures was a blessing. Glad that tradition is carrying on to the siege line where you dont necessarily need the gimmick to enjoy the figure. Hell, you didnt even have to buy the little guys in POTP if you felt they were irrelevant. And if you thought the "13" Primes as human size sparks was stupid, bam they double up as Pretenders inner robots ! So obviously someone at Hasbro has been doing their homework on the general consensus of gimmicks from the fandom. Not saying this is direct proof that they are marketing the generation line exclusively for older collectors, but it sure as hell hints the direction they are going with the line. And studio series is basically gimmick free unless all of a sudden a weapon is considered a gimmick? No annoying mech-tech or dumb looking spring loaded missiles means a happy collector. Are these 2 lines really targeting kids as the primary audience? Or are they just being made as "kid friendly" as possible without turning off older collectors. You decide...

It's an okay figure, but hardly screen accurate. Really hoping for a Studio Series version next year.

I've been eyeballing the 3rd party version of it but I'm broke. Lol
They hasbro should use that figure and kinda "cheapen" it down if that makes sense.
They should also do the same to that 3rd party Dino.. I know he's deluxeish size but price.

You're not missing much as far as the original release is concerned. Just a remold of AoE Lockdown and like McBeef said above, no where near as accurate in bot mode as it should be. A fresh new design is definitely much needed for him.
