Ollie's in Rocky Mount had a ton of stuff last night with the highlight being a stack of a dozen Trypticons. From the looks of things, a lot of kids will be getting Overlord, Blitzwing, Octane, and movie Hot Rod for Xmas this year.

I saw Trypticon in the Ollie's salespaper. I may try to get one of two just to resell later.

 

Found these at Monroe Walmart on Friday. Very cool and not often I see G1 Optimus stuff in stores.

 

Found Nova Star at Grove Barton Target today! Last one, but at least we know they're coming in.

Not really.. how did ollies get a bunch of them while target and Walmart didn't?

 

Discount stores like Ollie's buy excess stock. Hasbro made a certain amount of Trypticons, but stores like Target, Walmart and TRU didn't order as many as Hasbro expected. Hence there are more left over to go to Ollie's.

 

Actually TRU had to be cut off due to fear they would not pay (remember they had an initial bankruptcy last fall) import vendors like Hasbro were initially paid, but no promises on future shipments. TRU was always supposed to be the major driver of higher retail items like Titan class.

I don't understand why anyone would complain about not finding it at Wal Mart or Target. It was easily available on Amazon and Hasbrotoyshop.com. Why would you insist on finding it at retail?

 

I know about the situation surrounding TRU's bankruptcy. I didn't get into all that because I was just trying to explain that seeing less stock of something at general retail means you'll likely see more at discounters, not less.

And I don't understand it either. I ordered Fort Max and Trypticon from Amazon (for far below retail price).

 

When people see Wal-Mart or Target, the first thing that comes to mind are the physical stores. Some don't check online.

 

Guess if we wait long enough.. Predaking will be at Ollie's too

 

He's too awesome to have anything left over for Ollies... of course I said that about Trypticon so what the hell do I know!!!

 

Got trypticon and fort max at Ollie's. I still think Predaking will show up at Ollie's which I will be happy to buy 2
