That art is clearly based on the style of Boris Vallejo. His art (and his wife's) is featured on the covers of many, many, fantasy novels, RPG sourcebooks, and video games
Came out of left field. Forgot the box art reminded me of a Michael Bay take on Masters of the Universe.
Ehm, i think he's a dwarf. Never seen elves wirh beards. Anyway, i'll probably buy the shit out of this line!
This is cool and all, but I worry about Storm Collectibles spreading themselves thin with all of these recent announcements (I need their Fist of The North Star line though).
Storm Street Fighter Chun-Li in Battle Costume New York Comic-Con 2018 Exclusive - The Toyark - News Damn, NYCC exclusive and still dead in the eyes.
I like it. I'll pick it up if I can find it for a decent price, but you're right about the eyes having a "dead" look to them just like her original release. Probably didn't bother to make a new sculpt for the face at all. Hopefully the do if they make an Alpha version at some point since she's supposed to be younger. They have the Alpha license don't they?
Damn it, I was really hoping she wouldn't be a cón exclusive. True, the other exclusives aren't hard to find, I just saw a few Hot Ryu's in some local collectibles shops with little mark up, but since I want this figure, always makes me worry this might be the exception to the rule.
I've been waiting for an actual figure of Chun-Li in this outfit, and honestly, the thighs are a little overly exaggerated. But, I can live with that because it IS Chun-Li. The main problem I have though, is that the face options are really underwhelming to me. The eyes are just so dead, even on the shouting face. Nevertheless, I'll be asking my friend to pick this up for me when he goes to the con.
Definitely! Girls that do squats got it going on! It looks like the Ludacris video from like 10 years ago where he had those CGI exaggerated muscles, if anyone even knows what I'm talking about. (I hate that video btw)
Just picked up my first Storm Collectibles Ryu figure(regular version) and I'm hooked! He's solid, great articulation, and great accessories! I'd be getting them all if it weren't for the price point!
