Didn’t know that. I wouldn’t want it in white. How he showed in the movie looked great...wish the movie was as good as some of the designs.

You mean they probably didnt do it because they wanted something that represented Transformers: Bumbleebee, that would sell. That is part of the merchandising, so they could put it out early.

I really like how Takara and Hasbro BOTH are giving us diecast again! And i like how they seem to address the problem with MPM-3s feet stability. His feet (ankles/toes) now seem to have extra steps and care put into them being solid!

I doubt Japans Takara, and USA Hasbro had anything to do with it. That was in China (i know. It went back up that day).

Interesting. The concept design you posted, shows that the Masterpiece mimics that art. Almost like that was the template for the design of MPM-7. I see it especially in the chest, wings, and wheels. The issues with the Masterpiece is, it has NO angle on the front chest fenders where its lowest point, where his chest/bumpers meeting his abs. The SS version HAS those angles. ALSO, the fenders are up much higher up in the Masterpiece. Like mid way up, just like the early concept. The MP seems to be using the concept arts head. A different head then the now designed "in movie model" Bee.

Now, its its POSSIBLE that we can adjust these things like the bumpers might angle like MPM-4s truck windshield shades, and maybe the door wings can do something different with creatively and customizable skills. Although Im still interested in this, i cant say im not bummed that they didnt give us an "accurate" version of the coolest Transformers design to date! (Imo) ;)

I remembered him red with white...but just went and looked and you are right. He is white with red. Looks better in red but as someone who always looks for screen accuracy (at least in g1, with the exception that I like extra detail put in), it leaves me torn. With enough details put in though still think it could look great.
Thanks for pointing out my error though, I would have thought it was done wrong if I seen it in white.

I suppose that is subjective. For some he looks just fine. Complexity in transformation happens to matter to some of us as well. As I said it's all subjective.

I keep going back amd forth on the wings. The wheels are probably worse! Angle the lot back a bit and I am sure it'll be fine.

One source from Facebook confirms that Counter656 is the animator of the stop motion commercial.

Could look good with the head from the oversized KO of MP-21 though.

Not gonna lie, this stop-motion video is adorable, and makes me want to buy this figure. Screen-accuracy fails be damned.

There's like no other MPs who were given full flexible fingers. I hope going forward they start using this feature on other MPMs

Wasn't there a time back in the black apple op thread where I said that people will mop up anything Hasbro puts out and give something to justify their opinion?

Oh wait this thread is a shining example of that. Don't get me wrong, I really like the look of the mpm, but do its features, screen accuracy and simplistic transformation really demand an mpm price point. The whole point of the mpm line is to give us movie accurate figures, and if it can't deliver on that promise, should we really be supporting a figure like this. Because like in the case of mpm optimus and it's terrible qc, by buying this figure, you tell Hasbro that it's ok to make inaccurate mpm figures which are modelled off of pre-existing cgi models, by buying such figures, you tell Hasbro that you're ok with shit qc on otherwise phenomenal figures. I'm not gonna get this figure, because I believe we need to demand more of Hasbro, but that's just my :2c:
