The plot thickens!

Back in January, we learned that Hasbro had applied for a new trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, for the name "Botbots".

In May, we learned that there was a "blind box" assortment in the works, which was initially erroneously assumed to be part of the War for Cybertron line.

A few days later, we learned that the "blindboxes" were actually for the mysterious "Botbots" line, which is going to consist of 72 characters across four waves.

In June, we then learned of several new Amazon listings with bizarre names:

Well, I now present to you the Walmart listings for these four:

Really hoping that these are more akin to tiny titans or botshots and not a subline of blindpacked micromasters.

I feel like these are probably going to be a Transformers equivalent of MLP's Cutie Mark Crew line, where you can get blind-packed single figurines, or themed five-packs of them.

 

i dread if hasbro realises they can extort money from me by doing mini blindbag figures a la tiny turbos.

£3 a figure x 72. Part of me wishes it isn't true the other wishes it is.

 

5 and 8 packs has me thinking this is going to be like the Star Wars Fighter Pods(or whatever they are calling them now). I think I'd be okay with that as long as they weren't funky colors AND we got a decent selection of characters from other series not just G1.

 

zbots are making a comeback.

I guess the big question is how this will work in terms of waves.

72 across 4 waves is 18 per wave so either thats not how it will be broken up or mabey there's something I'm overlooking I wonder if these are separate from the others and the other 46 and these are just muti packs and the rest blindboxed

My guess these will be similar to robot heroes or some other waste of plastic that some Hasbro corporate guy thinks kids will love.

 

I don’t car for this but to see what they look like have my interested bot with long arms short legs, shockwave looking head, and other ARAKNIS character with four arms out from its back looks interesting to see

 

If they transform I might bite.
