Honestly this may just be my bias with MTMTE Rodimus but I think the decision was stupid and out of place lol
PLEASE tell me you forgot to add the sarcasm color... It's no different than when the Golden Lagoon was destroyed to keep the Cons from getting it. I think it was also to keep the Bots from getting it as well, honestly.
Maybe I'll use light blue text The episode clearly made fun of pacifism and the Autobots just decided unilaterally to blow up the home of the Paradronians without putting up half a fight. It was a really shitty thing to do.
There seem to be kids on the planet that Rodimus Prime blow up ( on the right is a young bot holding his mother's hand). Well at least he didn't blow up the planet with them on it, but that still doesn't take away on what he said to the poor bot. Child: You want really blow up our planet right? RP: Yes [Child give him the big sad optics] RP: No
Actually it is a bit different, the golden lagoon wasn’t intentionally destroyed it was destroyed as a Consequence of the fighting
The blue one is cleary holding his mother's hand on the right side. Little kids hold their parents hand. Also Rumble and Frenzy are just short, but this one is a kid. Don't know about the other two on the left. Okay they could be a couple, but the way they're holding hands reminds me more of a parent/child then lovers, so I'm leaning towards mother and child. However I don't blame you for not noticing that was a child. The animators draw them like mini adults, but childern aren't like miniature adults. They have a different head to body porptions. I didn't even know that Wheelie was a child until I look it up.
Didn't Megatron blow up the lagoon to stop the bots getting it? It was the surrounding wildlife that was wrecked from the fighting. Holy moly I've never noticed that kid before! The way they're standing definitely looks like mum and kid to me.
Looks pretty Mom and kid to me. Remember that G1 wasn't against kid robots. Hot Rod, Bumblebee and Wheelie are all billed as "younger" while others like Ironhide, Kup, Ultra Magnus and Optimus Prime are billed as "older". Kranix's planet looked to obviously have robo-kids. It just didn't want to explain where they came from. Nor should it.
You know I think you’re right it’s been along time since I’ve seen that one I still don’t see that one that way
Hello. An explanation for the episode comes with a deleted plot line about how Galvatron was turning Paradron into a mobile planet battle station. Scenes of the engines being completed would have been shown to explain why Rodimus wanted to destroy the planet.
I always thought he loves to blow up stuff. After reading that it does become understandable. However it doesn't excuse what he said to Sandbar.
is that truly a deleted plotline? What you posted there is from either a DVD or a video back cover that’s pretty much 20 years after the fact or more? Does anybody have the original script to see if that was even in it
This is a graphic made by Chris McFeely who runs the TFwiki that summarizes trivia from the episode's Wiki entry (with cited sources).
Huh, interesting. I wonder why that was all cut from this episode. I'm going to have to go back and watch it over again. I kind of wonder if they wanted to show that Rodimus was different in the way he thought than Optimus. Like would OP have chosen to destroy the world, or would he have insisted on finding a different way of dealing with it. Maybe have them move if from it's location? Then again, he didn't realize what wrecking that Lagoon did, so not so sure if Rodimus made a bad choice or not.
