The group that TFXProtector is addressing are still the enemy in my book. So....if someone is rushing into their local Ollie's next year for a discounted Predaking and some creep is walking out with all of them, and that person decides follows the creep to his next stop waits for them to leave their car and slashes all of his/her tires. Well, I'm not saying it's the right thing to do....... But I'd understand.
If this person is walking out with all of them, they are a literal giant and you would be foolish to pick such a fight.
That's ALOT of Trypticon! I hope the market price depresses with these based upon ridiculous supply...
With 5 or more Titan figures they'll likely be pushing one of those large carts you see at Home Depot or Sam's Club.
It was limit three last time too. The issue is not supply but distribution. My area is starved for toys. That's what happens when shoppers act like retail price is an affront to God and wait for clearance on everything. Some people want a deal more than they want any particular product or service.
It seems that Ollie's isn't just picking out TRU's internal organs...it's taking whole chunks of the body, too. They are buying former Toys R Us stores in the Midwest, it seems. Toys R Us: Ollie's Bargain Outlet is buying what remains of retail giant - CNN
Well this is disappointing. I rarely if ever step foot into Ollie's. Wouldn't be surprised if my abandoned TRU is on the list.
That's good news to me! Looks like there's a chance to get those clearance bargains here in Texas finally.
Hmm. That's good for those of us looking for these stores when they get Titans in. Sad for those of us who watch our once hallowed halls being refitted into something else. It's nice to see the buildings get repurposed for something we actually use, rather than having it get turned into another TJ Maxx or JoAnne Fabrics... ;_;
Is there a way to check what TRUs they're buying up? There's an ollie's near me and it's been a treasure trove of TF's for me (pretty much all the non-exclusive last stuff from Titans Return for nearly half price), but they never carry anything big like Trypticon. While at the same time, there's a gutted TRU in a nearby commercial area I pass by every day on my way home from work, it would be great if that store became an ollie's too since I'm part of his army
All of the TRUs left at the time of closing around here are still empty. It's tough to attract a tenant when you won't sublease and expect to be paid more per month than many businesses have in revenue all year. The expansion of Ollies is disturbing from the other side because it signals that people here are getting poorer.
Maybe. There's also the chance that people don't want to buy a few expensive things and would rather just load up on cheap stuff instead. I mean, if the cheap stuff was fine before, why not more, right?
Just seems like lots of places are closing but only Ollies is expanding. What would you think of the food market if every time a steakhouse, locally-owned pizzeria, or grocery store shut down, a McDonalds popped up in its place? Ollies and McDonalds have a place _in_ the market but heaven help us if they ever end up _being_ the market.
It’s a sign that people are getting smarter, not poorer. The reason why things get a price point is because that’s what people are willing to buy them at. Well guess what. If what you’re selling isn’t worth the price you slapped on it, then it’s not going to sell. Otherwise a roll of toilet paper would cost you $50. And if it cost that much, then it better be able to prevent colon cancer with just one square while also giving me a sense of euphoria that would make me feel like Rich Simmons in a gay pride parade. It also has to clean my butt too on top of it. Everyone likes to save money, it doesn’t matter if you make $10,000 a year or $6 million. Money management is an important life skill to have.
