I never get any weekends off anymore, so a meetup is out for me. There's a chance I could make it to Iowa on the 19th, if my plans hold up.

Hey, SSJ. Sorry to hear about your busy weekends, but if you do manage to make it down this way before the show, I'll be happy to look at anything you bring.

 

I'd be up for one, but all I ever see anymore are Frankiecons. Not saying that's bad, but they do seem to be less about a group of fans getting together and hanging out but more about sales and contests. Hell I wasn't even able to get a table for the next one.

 

I'd be up for a small setting meetup. Would certainly feel less stressed about bringing Poseidon for people who want to see it, knowing we're all buddies and trustworthy.

I'll be in the cities tomorrow afternoon around noon at the Hot Comics near Frankie's. I'm bringing up a bunch of transformers that I'm overstocked on to trade/sell to Mike.

If anyone wants to stop by and say hi, I would be more than happy to wish them a Happy New year.

 

Any thoughts about a meetup anytime soon? I'm planning to set up a mini convention in my new store at the end of this month, but I'd be happy to make a trip up north for a good cause.

yeah this thread is pretty dead except for when we get the annual invitation to FrankieCon (usually about 24 hrs before the event)

 

Well guys, how about setting up our own Mini-Con(vention)?

How? When? Where? You ask and I present the info.

As to the How... my store, Now & Then, is setting up at Fallcon this year with two booths. I am planning on using one of the booths for nothing but Transformers.  

So to the When... The show is scheduled to be Saturday October 6th from 10AM-6PM. It's the M.C.B.A.'s annual 1 day event.  

Finally, the Where... The show will be at the Minnesota State Fair Education Building. A nice size building for a small show.  

I'm bringing up over 1,000 figures and all of my parts. (along with a bunch of other cool stuff.)  

So if any of you are interested in hanging out at a fun 1 day show with me and talk Transformers, I'd be happy to host you all for a unique meet-up.
