No problem. I don't think MP Lazerbeak has ever been available as a standalone KO option. The closest is KO MP Buzzaw with KO MP Rumble (blue toon Rumble).

I got the latest version of THF Sonicwave w/Lazerbird last Christmas & it was actually a pretty cool piece. Well worth the price IMO.

Despite some paint flaws, this guy is so well made for just 1/5 the price of my TT Soundwave.

THF Soundblaster? Nice. Is that actual glare on the chest window or a sticker?

Yes, THF, it is actual glare, close to the led light source.

That is a nice looking piece! Didn't realize that THF did the SB version as well.

I just got the THF one myself. Quality is awesome for the price. Only two things about it I wish were different, I'd like the tape cover to have a black instead of gold rim like the official, and the red eyes be a brighter red.

I ordered mine from wanzhiwangzhe on eBay. It took about 3 weeks to arrive.

This is my first post after lurking on here for a while but I was just wondering if there's a concensus as to whether the TT branded KO or the THF KO is the better figure?

I just can't bring myself to spend the kind of cash that the official Hasbro or Takara MP-13 go for...

Edit: I'm not averse to the idea of going with THF MP-13B if they've improved the figure between the release of the original and the repaint.

There is no general consensus. The straight ko has has articulated hands and factions logo. Added ratchets joints too, even if they sometimes need to be disassembled.

Straight ko tends to be a bit less solid and more scuffed, but the problem is that every copy is different.
Benscollectables prefers the straight ko. Bots and bits strongly prefer THF. You can be lucky with both.
Maybe, maybe, THF's QC is more consistent... But YMMV.

Thanks for the info, I like the sound of the articulated fingers and added ratchets on the TT KO but as this is my first KO I have to ask why they might need to be disassembled?

I really like the look of the THF MP-13B and I've seen a few people say that the tolerances seem a little better on that version vs the original, the only thing that puts me off is the fact that it comes with Rabat and it seems like it's not that easy to get hold of a standalone Laser beak :/

Pretty sure I'm gonna go with the THF version, now I just need to choose between SW and SB lol

I'd say go with both. When I bought my THF Soundwave from ebay you couldn't find him for less then $70. Now you can get him for less then $50. You can probably find THF Soundblaster for the same amount. Two figures of that size and quality for $100 is a good deal.

I have THF Soundblaster, THF Clear Soundwave, and both Takara Soundwave and Soundblaster.

I'd definitely recommend the THF Soundblaster if you don't have one and price is a factor. I prefer the gold trim along the red door. It seemed to me like Takara missed that for some reason. Besides the eyes being too dark, it's really well done. Hopefully there's a light-up eye kit released for it soon (one was just done for Soundwave).

If you might be interested in a Soundwave with all 5 cassettes, there's the Robot Hero KO (which also comes with the bonus Autoscout) but it's a bit difficult to come by these days.

Thanks dude it's reassuring to hear from someone who has a couple of diggerent versions of the figure I'm looking at.

I might just have to pick up SW and SB (damn my lack of willpower ).

I did look at some reviews for the RH version but there seems to be a theme of things on that figure being too loose so that kinda steered me away from it.

Edit: Does anyone have any experience buying from ebay seller wanzhiwangzhe?

Sorry I can't post a link to their seller page but I'm a new user so I can't post links yet.
