Thanks.I really love TFM Havoc and GT Gravity builder. They are not G1 accurate (which is not supposed to be in the first place) but they look great in combined mode and individual bots. Actually, Warbotron bructicus is not bad either and I do think they didn't get the praises that they deserve throughout the community.

I think the Warbotron Bruticus was a pretty big event when it was first released.

Gravity Builder went head-to-head with the Toyworld one and unfortunately, Constructor is larger (more in line with Masterpiece) and more G1-esque. That just appeals to more collectors.

TFM Havoc has the problems in combined mode. I think a changing combiner scale and some design problems extinguished some of the hype. Regardless of that, they are some excellent figures.

Or GT can adopt a pantsformer philosophy and make an incredibly stable and articulated combiner for that scale. By now we all should know that pantsforming just works. My 2 cents.

They definitely could do that. The question GT/TFM are asking themselves right now is whether their fans are looking for that feature.

Clearly, many people like the TW/Zeta "pantformers" style. And I'm happy for everyone who is getting what they want on that front.

But there are also people who might still prefer their combiner teams in scale with MP Autobot Cars and MP-10, and might find ~15" combiners a preferable height. And maybe they don't like having pants sitting around when the team is separated.

So GT/TFM is asking themselves, "how will we make more money? Making more stuff in the style that we've found success doing? Or trying what TW/Zeta/UT is doing?"

I certainly don't know the answer.
All I know is, if they keep doing what they've been doing, I'll keep buying their stuff.

You're right. There was a bit of a lean. It didn't really bug me a ton, but I can understand that it bugged others.
I got these fixes, and there are no troubles at all now.

It's a tight fit, man. I just pushed a bit harder than I thought I should have to, and it worked.
The screws didn't strip, (but be careful, of course).

Partsforming sucks. I'm glad companies like GT aren't doing it for everything.
